Novotel York Centre - 约克

Great location only minutes from city centre on foot, the two hotels are close to each other.

The location of this hotel is one of its best points, remarkably close to the major attractions, but in a quiet cul de sac by the river.

Good location close to the city center with easily accessed off road free parking.

You can’t actually swim in it anyway the pool is really small – lengths are not possible unless your 3foot tall and able to avoid dive bombing children.

You could probably walk in but taxis are plently and for a few quid - saves the old legs!

Modern room - large double bed + sofa, flat screen TV and internet, seperate bathroom/toilet.

There was a seperate toilet as you come into the room and the bathroom had sliding doors from the bedroom with a seperate bath and shower.

The bedroom had a comfy bed settee for our son(It wasn't made up when we got into the room but the receptionist came straight up and sorted that,making the bed up herself).

A seperate toilet from the large bathroom I think is always a plus and the bathroom unusually had an enclosed shower area seperate to the bath tub.

The room itself was adequate, the bed was ok, not overly comfortable, but ok, the toilet roll was terrible, it was the quality of a supermarket value range!

The only other draw back would be bar stools to eat breakfast on maybe not the best choice buy hey cant win them all - hotel please note hard for us smaller people to climb on & off.

They have a pool but its very child focused, surrounded by the lounge/bar/restaurant it must be great for parents to keep and eye on kids but hell for an adult with anything less than supermodel confidence.

The food in the restaurant was good with a tasty buffet breakfast.

We did not try the pool or the restaurant other than for breakfast but everyone we spoke to rated them well.

Some people were complaining about having to wait to be seated for breakfast, the hotel has plenty of signs advising the restaurant will be busy, get up earlier then!

The reception staff were friendly as were the service staff.

The staff were really friendly, and the services for kids were good - there is a play station in the reception area, the smallish, but free pool, and an outside play area.

Also the front desk staff was not knowledgeable about restaurants in the area.

Although we did get excellent service from some of the staff, I must warn travelers that they will more often than not get excuses, explanations, and shame and blame, rather than the service they paid for from a hotel that claims to be three stars.

Location quite good staff helpful car parking reasonable pool, excellent breakfast would definatley stay again and a huge saving on the Tarrif posted in reception.

Facilities were excellent with a pool, fitness centre, a good bar, video games and internet connections in lobby.

It has free car parking and is within 10 minutes walk of the city centre.

Clean, comfortable room, as was the rest of the hotel, although a little 'IKEA' for some people's taste.

Staff really exceptionally friendly and spacious clean rooms.

The staff were all friendly and the room was comfortable and clean.

Room very clean, nice terrace and superb food in The Roman especially.

The rooms were very clean but needed redecoration and a new fittings.
