It is in a fantastic location close to shops, restaurants and the Queen Victoria Market.

Despite the wonderful cosmopolitan location of Collins Street, the Hotel lacked any sophistication or vibrancy.

A decidedly average experience all round - which is a real shame considering this Hotel could really be something special given its outstanding geographical location.

A major tram stop is a few metres from the Collins Street entrance, and Flinders Street Station, Melbourne Central shopping centre, and Bourke Street mall are a few minutes walk.

Centrally located - shopping, trams, buses, trains.

My room seemed newly refurbished, had a great decor, excellent bathroom, terrific LCD television and the most comfortable bed I have experienced in a hotel room in years.

The room was lovely with all the usual amenities and a very comfortable bed.

Also, I noticed someone commented on the beds and pillows being very comfortable - we found this too - my hubby even checked the make of the bed he liked it so much!

When I returned to my room after a 12-hr day, I found the bed was half-made, the tea/coffee were not replenished and neither were the shower gels and shampoos.

I used the hotel restaurant for breakfast and lunch and found the service pleasant and the food high quality, uncomplicated and good value for money.

Michel's Restaurant serves the best buffet breakfast and evening meals are great too.

The breakfast restaurant was equally well endowed with views over practically all of the Melbourne CBD.

Enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner - staff very accommodating of the young people's special requests.

Room was brilliant for business and breakfast was a bonus for me as children under 16 eat free.

Free wi-fi is available at the shopping centre a couple of doors up.

Door staff were fantastic, concierge was exceptionally helpful and reception gave us a room near the swimming pool.

Fabulous location - walked to theatre for "The Lion King, the staff at the hotel were exceptional in providing us and everything about the service was brilliant.

When the mall closes you can still use the pool and gym which is still under the same roof very Unique feel.

Hotel access is not that easy : from the street, you have to take elevators to reach the reception and restaurant floor and then another elevator to reach your room.

Pool and gym are also inside this mall (do not expect swimming outdoors!

Wireless internet is also available in the hotel for a charge.

The room was adequate and clean, but the view was not very inspiring.

Courteous and attentive staff, room spotless.

Bathroom were very clean, on both occasions the food was very good.

The room was large, clean and well appointed with a large LCD screen.

Rooms were clean and spacious but were never made up until late in the afternoon.
