Novotel La Rochelle Centre

We liked the location in the park - quiet, as the hotel is situated in a parkland area is pleasant during the day.

Good location next to park and warm welcome.

The hotel is in a great location and almost a beeline from the central bus station.

You can easily take the #7 bus from the airport and it drops you off at Place Verdun, the centre of the city.

The hotel were pleased to store our cases away securely after we checked out the next morning, while we explored La Rochelle on foot.

As to our room, we had a lovely view of the park and the room was very spacious with a couch contained next to our bed (which probably turned into a second double bed).

The rooms were small (if you are fitting a family of 4 in them) but nicely decorated and very acceptable bathrooms.

Rooms are very spacious and clean, good bathroom with separate wc.

Rooms were clean and comfortable--ours overlooked the park and although there is a road near the hotel going through the park the room was still quiet.

We managed to get a room designed for handicappped people which is probably good - more room etc.

Food in the restaurant very good although cheaper alternatives available in the town.

The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the centre and quay where all the shops, bars and restaurants are located.

It is situated in the middle of a park (with a little zoo) and is only 5 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes walk from the bars/restaurants and La Rochelle's beautiful historic harbour.

Breakfast not so good as the coked part was not hot.

The restuarant was also good, an excellent breakfast, and should you wish to stay in one evening rather than go out, a very good dinner is available, although more expensive than the restuarants down in the town.

Comfortable surroundings, the hotel is situated is situated in a quiet area beside a park and the staff at reception are very helpful.

The hotel was modern and the front desk staff was really helpful.

Very convenient hotel for overnight stays not to be reccommended for holiday hotel, reception staff are really fantastic-very friendly and efficient, rooms are very spacious and clean.

They have an excellent reception desk and one of their staff in particular was outstanding, for example our daughter lost her handbag and contact had to be made with the police in a nearby town (where it had been handed in!

Nice swimmimg pool and terrace, although the pool was a little chilly.

A nice pool area, the Novotel has a large car park and easy walking distance to town.

A secure parking space is important to us, in France this is not always possible, and the Novotel has a large car park.

The room was clean, tidy and well equiped, as you would expect.

Good location, has a large outdoor private car park and the hotel room was fresh and clean.

Clean and the staff were very friendly, the room was spacious.

Room clean, good breakfast and 14€ per person: choice of hot drinks.

Rooms were clean, value was just as good as the local restaurants.
