As the other reviews say this is probbably the best hotel in Hamilton but you pay for it.
Good location and well located overlooking the river.
Wonderful location next to the river, excellent food in the hotel restaurant and great service.
The location is great - right in the centre of things.
The best thing about the Novotel is its location which really cant be beat in Hamilton.
But given the location and the fact that there is really nothing all that wrong with the hotel, its not a bad choice.
The sound insulation was good as we hardly heard the traffic below or any noise from the rooms next to us and the bed was very comfy with plenty of extra pillow and blankets.

This outdoor area had enough room for maybe ten vehicles, the food was also of a good quality and the bathroom was was very large too.
The staff was very helpful, the bed was very comfy and the breakfast buffet in the lovely restaurant was good.
We dined at the restaurant for breakfast and the food was great.
Room was comfortable and package was a good value with breakfast and dinner included, but nether buffet changed so one night of the package would be a better idea, and then sample some of the local restaurants.
We didn't eat in the hotel but opted to go out for breakfast and dinner as there are so many good yet relatively inexpensive places close by.
We also ate at the restaurant which was very modern and well located overlooking the river.
At 208NZ$ including a good breakfast, its not a bad choice and very nice facility overall.
Location is very good, this hotel is very central to Hamilton CBD shopping malls etc and super friendly reception staff car valet staff.
Very nice public areas, friendly atmosphere and the staff at reception were very helpful.
Moreover freindly staff, concierge were all very helpful and the room was nicely warmed up for us.
The reception desk, valet parking and concierge were all very helpful, particularly with suggestions of possible tourist activities.
There is a small gym area with all of three pieces, and a spa pool.
Has an elevator going right down to the carparking area was great and the food was also of a good quality.
Location is very good, in middle of main street next to the casino/resturants which is handy - parking is free and undercover but appears to be a first come first serve basis ( or thats what the signs indicate ).
The room was spacious, fresh,clean and modern in decor.
The room was 'a typical, average hotel room' but clean and functional.
Although I requested a non smoking room, the room did not have a clean smell.
