Novotel Bern Expo - 伯尔尼

Good location, great business hotel and in a modern building.

The location was excellent--about a 2 minute drive down to the Bear garden and the main street into town.

The location was great and the hotel staff was very accommodating.

You can go just about anywhere on the trams and buses.

The Bern Novotel Expo is easily reached by taking the number 9 tram from the station to the end of the line at Guisanplatz.

The Bathroom, as mentioned before is split into two seperate rooms, with the toilet right behind the entry door, while the sink and shower is next to the bed.

Since there were no rooms available with two beds, we used the sofa bed, which turned out to be comfortable.

Baths, as pointed out in another post, have an usual layout-- toilet in a small room in the entry; tub, sink and stall shower in a separate room around the corner-- or at any rate that was the layout of our room.

The bed appeared new (as did the other fixtures in the room) and there was satellite TV, bringing in a lot of stations.

The room was spacious and included a sofa bed too.

The breakfast seems expensive (25CHF) but not when you compare it to restaurants which charge at least that.

The food in the restaurant is of a high quality.

Although I found the room rate extremely reasonable, I felt the charge for breakfast a bit higher than I could justify for the small amount of food we wanted and the extremely limited time we had before catching our train.

On the site is rather new and clean, the food in the restaurant is of a high quality.

Since nothing on the restaurant's dinner menu sounded terribly appealing to us, we asked whether there were a market nearby and learned about a Co-op Market about three blocks away in a mall-- a wonderful place, I might add.

Private parking at good price is also an advantage and staff is courteous and helpful.

A nice stay, freindly staff and the TV has a good selection of channels in several languages including English.

Comfortable and located in a lovely, excellent hotel, the staff were extremely friendly.

The dining area had a good view overlooking the city and the reception crew was great.

Kind of a nice security measure this hotel has is that the elevator won't operate unless you have a card key-- just be sure to have a key with you whenever you opt to go out.

Parking your car comes at 12CHF and the indoor parking is shared between the 3 hotels.

On the plus side it was the a small playground close to the lobby with a playstation stand and various other toys to keep kids busy.

The price for our weekend package was far too high for we got, staff were helpful and the rooms were clean.

Its very good value, great staff and the room was very clean and modern.

Bern was a gorgeous city, the staff was less than friendly and our room its was generally clean.

Our room its was generally clean but small.
