The personnal of the hotel were friendly and the price was not high.
Very nice hotel staff, good price and room interior very cosy.
Having read the reviews of the other available hotels in our price range, this seemed the best of a rather dodgy bunch.
The Mercure Richmond is located in a great location, just a five-ten minute walk to Tivoli Gardens and the museums and the center of town.

Lumpy bed, rough towels that smelled like mothballs, broken light, grubby floor, broken patio door seeping cold air, uncomfortably small and impractical bathroom.
The rooms were adequate and clean, but the beds weren't that comfortable, & the bathroom was very basic.
The hair dryer provided by the hotel is affixed to a wall in the bathroom and cannot be used in another room.
Yes, the rooms are small but I found the beds very comfortable (and I'm over six feet, 200 pounds), the staff was excellent and breakfast was great.
