All by all, I still think the hotel offers a great value, especially if you read some of the reviews of other hotels in that area.
For the prices to be as high as they are the hotel, they need to do a lot better to take care of people trying to do business with their hotel.
The in hotel Shula's restaurant is" tops" in my book for steak and seafood --- bring money , lots of money, but it is worth it.
We were accosted inside the hotel garage each night by teenagers / homeless people begging, AGGRESSIVELY, for money and I would not recommend anyone being in the garage after nightfall alone.
Located near Granby Street, great location and for the prices to be as high as they are the hotel.
The location was fantastic; it's close to downtown businesses and shopping.
It has the best location and appears to be the nicest in the city.
If you use the water taxi to go across the harbor, do so just for the ride.

My standard room had a nice layout, very comfortable bed, spacious windows, and a clean bathroom.
You have a choice between rooms with a King bed and rooms with 2 double beds -- no queen beds.
Our room had a desk, a very comfy king-sized bed, coffee maker, TV (with HBO) and an amazing view of the city.
The rooms are the average hotel room size, they are nicely decorated and comfortable beds.
It was a corner room and had a king bed, two huge windows, comfortable chairs and ottomon, desk, and all the rest.
The hotel is very elegant with multiple restaurants, bar areas and lounge areas.
I didn't eat at either of the two restaurants, but I did order breakfast from room service one morning.
Clean and has a restaurant in the lobby area, great service, the breakfast room nicely appointed.
The bartender at the piano bar was very friendly, the Shula's restaurant was fantastic.
The bar staff was very friendly and inviting and the service in the restaurant was superb.
The staff and front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful.
Additionally staff was friendly and at checkout the front desk clerk was very nice.
The elevators were extremly slow (during our events) so we often had to ride the elevator up, only to get a ride down to the lobby.
There is a great pool at the hotel, perhaps 8 floors up, with spa tubs, a large balcony terrace and a good view of the very active harbor.
Fast elevators, women's Sauna's also outdoor sundeck and served excellent food.
On the plus side it worked well both wired and wireless in the room.
For $169 in Norfolk, you would think that Marriott would include free wireless.
Hotel was very central, the staff was pleasant and nice, room were all very clean.
The hotel is clean, our room was good size and very comfortable, the staff are exceptional and the lounge (on the 2nd floor) is a great place to end an evening and just wind down before going back to your room.
Bathrooms are of good size – and best of all, everything is EXTRA CLEAN.
The room was clean and well maintained, and the common spaces are very nice, but there were some negatives.
The hotel staff was friendly and the room was very clean.
