We think it's a very good hotel in the price range (regular price was $120 - $160 per night).
$300 or more for a more luxurious hotel, you can definitely find some, but we think the NM Lima provided us with good value.
I think this hotel has it all: excellent food, location and service.
The hotel also arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport the day we left - it is cheaper to pay the taxi directly than charging it to the hotel bill.
I did the same for my departure - have 30 US dollars or the equivalent in nuevo soles to pay the departure tax at the airport).

Rooms are average, beds are really small, furniture is basic.
The most important part is that we had a huge bed which was quite comfortable.
It was larger than our King size bed at home, because they had put two large mattresses together, but because of the padding, etc, you can't tell until you look underneath.
Breakfast is very good and rooms are new with flat screen TV.
The hotel is very well located in San Isidro, Lima's nicest neighborhood and there are many good restaurants, shops and grocery stores within safe and short walking distance.
For a quick and simple snack or meal I recommend a patisserie/restaurant about 100 meters from the hotel called La Baguette.
The hotel staff is knowledgeable and will assist you in locating restaurants, shops, etc.
Lima is a place with many great restaurants and so there's no need to go for fast food, but we just wanted to try it to see the difference.
