You get what you've paid for. Very hold place and not realy a hotel. It is more like the owners adapted house, that rents rooms with toilets. In my particular case I had specific bad luck because there was a malfunction with my room fire alarm that went off at 5 A.M. and again at 8.00 A.M. and this last time did not stoped buzzing until a maintenance guy went to rip it off... The ladie at the hotel was very nice and deeply apologized but I think this gives a picture of the quality of the hotel that is very poor.

noise from the outside (apparently - air conditioner), very small room, all is quite outdated

    WLAN, maid

The furnishings and equipment were not just old, but also shabby and cheap. Windows were dirty and one window glass broken. The whole room appeared uncharitable and in a bad condition. Even for a single room it was very small. The hotel manager was discourteous and unfriendly. When I asked her about some traces of water on the TV and the blinds, she began to argue and told me, I could pack my bags and look for another hotel. I had to stay, because the French Quarter was fully booked (and she should have known that). I cannot recommend this hotel. You don't get an equivalent value for your money.

It's a charming hotel right in the French Quarter---my room was at the top of a little stairway at the back of the building. It had a tiny kitchenette and beautiful old wall-paper, high ceilings and shuttered windows overlooking a little patio. The bed had a lovely lacy bedspread and crisp sheets.

The room was rather noisy, even though it was at the back of the building. There were several different air conditioners or generators, some from the very close neighboring buildings, that would kick on and off through the evening. The room was small but adequate for a slender single---a large person or somebody with lots of luggage might have had trouble navigating.

The owner's were a pleasure to work with on our reservation and amenities, very helpful and made helpful suggestions on parking. Leo an employee was a delight, very personable, always smiling helpful and an asset to the Nine-O-Five! This hotel is very comfortable, we were surprised our King Room reservation actually had a full kitchenette with refrigerator and a stove. We were less that 1.5 blocks from Jackson Square - without all of the noise and bars that are on the other end of Royal- there is a coffee house three or four doors down with wi-fi there is a great restaurant across the street and you are only five minutes walking or about 1.5 block from the Café du Monde and Jackson Square. Wonderful 10' ceilings and atmosphere!

The only problem was that we didn't have more time to spend here at the Nine-O-Five.......everyone was an ambassador for New Orleans as well as the property

The suite was quaint and charming in the "European-style" sense with interesting architectural details such as glass transoms and fun antiques. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the rooms were very clean and neat. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the Royal Street activities--an iconic New Orleans experience! There were few amenities such as shampoo, hair dryer, large-screen TV, etc., but that's not what I went to New Orleans for. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends of like mind.

The location was great. The room was very cute. The staff was friendly.

I didn't like that we weren't given a choice of whether we wanted our room cleaned every day or not. We were told that the cleaning lady needed to do her job and we didn't have a choice. I found this a bit extreme. There were four of us in the suite, it was Halloween weekend and we had many costumes scattered about, so we wanted to not have to tidy up for the cleaning lady. Also, we were out until very late every night and wanted to spend the days resting in the room, so it was inconvenient to be bothered by the cleaning staff. I think they need to relax this rule. Also, the shower did not drain very well, and would fill with water as I showered...did not make me feel completely clean. Also would have liked to have a sponge and dishsoap in the kitchenette so we could clean our dishes ourselves. The wifi was iffy too...didn't always work.

The location is perfect, for music lovers, architect lovers, and mardi gras lovers. It is private and clean, and authentically old. It is in short very charming and really contributes to a vacation in the area--it feels like the vacation exprience continues when you go to your room.

Close proximity to French Quarter attractions.

Walls are paper thin, we could hear everything going on in the room above us. I highly recommed requesting an upstairs room.

Relatively clean, fully equipped (kitchenette), nice staff.

Very noisy room - loud refrigerator, incredibly loud air conditioning unit outside the window. Internet access worked only outside the room.
