Niles Hotel Istanbul

The hotel is located in a fabulous location - it is a 5 minute walk to the Grand Bazaar and tram station and 15 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofiya.

This hotel has a fantastic location which is quite close to all the touristy sites but not too close to be too noisy, The staff is very friendly and do their best to make you feel at home.

Hotel Niles is in a great location within walking distance to the major sights of Istanbul, close to tramway & buses also.

It is also conveniently located near a tram stop, and a moderately inexpensive taxi ride from the airport.

Although difficulties at the airport delayed our arrival, we were met by our pre-arranged taxi (very reasonably priced).

The second room had one queen bed and it had a sitting area that was a bit larger, with a similar bathroom.

We have booked a double bed room specifying that we have a little girl and we want to use the existing beds.

The rooms were comfortable with good A/C (my son's A/C had a problem so Seda changed his room) and a great bathroom -constant hot water and great pressure.

Bathroom was just fine, very clean, looked newly renovated, sort of a European efficiency style, if there's such a thing (cabinet style shower/no tub with toilet and wash basin in about a 5'x5' space).

The beds are definitely very firm, so if you like a softer bed this might not be the hotel for you.

The little restaurant/bar is on the roof top, which meant we had gorgeous views of the Bosphorus during breakfast and for our last drink of the evening.

There is a wonderful rooftop restaurant where breakfast is given.

The breakfast room/ roof garden bar is terrific.

The rooftop restaurant where breakfast is served and where one can relax after a day of sightseeing is a real plus for the hotel.

The breakfast room / bar is situated on the roof with views all around.

The hotel staff, from manager and reception through to waiters and cleaners, were cheerful, helpful and efficient.

The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, booking cabs and making restaurant reservations for us.

The waiters serving breakfast would always go out of their way to ensure we had everything that we wanted - and the staff manning the front desk would always be eager and willing to help in any way they could.

This hotel may not have a swimming pool or gym but if it's affordability, cleanliness, good breakfasts and efficient staff you're after then this is the place to stay, in Istanbul.

We were on the 5th floor and did find the room quite noisy - near lift and scraping of chairs from roof terrace.

There is free internet access in the lobby, a low-pain-but-high-value perk for the international traveller.

Free use of the PC with internet was helpful too.

A helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms with the small stuff we like to find in them (slippers, little soaps and bottles) and a nice breakfast buffet in a terrace with a great view.

The rooms are very large, clean, and comfortable and the rooftop terrace where the free breakfast is served every morning has excellent panoramic views of the city.

Our room was great- very clean, quiet, and a nice size.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and of adequate size for a moderate priced hotel.

The rooms are clean and roomy - upon entering for the first time my girlfriend said it was amazing and she can be quite hard to please at the best of times!
