So, I guess it's a compromise for a reasonable price hotel and good location.
I used the money I saved staying at this hotel (which I would stay at again) to spend on dinner.
The decor was a bit 90s and starting to look a little dated but in view of the space, the central location and the price, I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
Overall a good hotel for the value it offers.

A spacious suite, with no special extras, but clean, next to metro station, near the market street, quiet.
Metro station right in this shopping alley, very convenient.
We had a room on the 3rd floor, kind of suite with small kitchen (microwave, fridge, sink) a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom with bath.
The bathroom had a separate bath and shower and the toilet was in it's own little room.
Our "standard" room had a living room, wetbar, mini-fridge, large bathroom, and a large comfortable bed.
The bedroom had a queen sized bed and TV.
Room is clean and the size is good for family , it comes with a family area which consists of a sofa bed and also a kitchenette (it has a mircowave too) u know sometimes you just wanted to eat in!
Lobby had internet access (free) as well as a bar and breakfast.
The breakfast bar was great and convenient.
It had a very large sitting area / kitchen area (fridge, microwave, sink, breakfast bar, air-condition) which was great as we have a 2 year old daughter.
Breakfast was not part of our deal, but for 14euros we found it cheaper to eat at one of the coffee shops in the city.
Breakfast was a little on the expensive side (about 14 EUR per person), so we opted to shop at the Merkur supermarket and the Anker bread / pastry chain in the same building as the hotel.
The staff from the reception is incredible intelligent.

Our room was immediately next to the mini gym and sauna, which was a little touch of luxury.
There is a fee of €13,50 per day to park your car in the hotel parking garage.
The hotel's parking entrance is also on Stiftgasse rather than Mariahilferstrasse so keep this in mind if driving.
