The location was great, the hotel was situated in a very good position and the reception staff were very helpful.

Situated in the beautiful gothic area, only a few minutes walk from the Ramblas, but in a very quiet street, and also in close walking distance to two different metro stations and the bus stop to and from the airport.

However, you are seriously well placed to explore Barcelona -- about 2 mins from the main streets and 5 mins to the Plaza Catalunya (where the metro and airport buses go!

The room we stayed in had plenty of storage/hanging space, laminate flooring, a very comfortable bed (without chintzy bedspread), a desk (and a large TV that we didn't use), and a decent size bathroom with shower, bath, toilet, sink and bidet.

Rooms are comfortable though not large -- it is worth paying a little extra for a "superior" room -- and bathrooms have deep tubs and powerful showers.

Good staff, The hotel staff were very friendly and allowed us to swap to a room with a single double bed instead of two single beds which most other hotels in europe have.

The room had a very modern marble bath, and Queen Bed, very comfortable.

The restaurant serves reasonably-priced if unadventurous meals, although most guests will be eating out at the hundreds of restaurants in the area.

I had a problem during our stay involving a restaurant reservation and needed one of the front desk staff to call the restaurant for me while I was out and about in Barcelona.

Reception staff dead helpful when asked, pointing out places on maps and ordering taxis etc.

Other pluses include a security guard on duty 24 hours, elevators that worked very well - never had to wait very long, and free newspapers in the lobby.

Its a small boutique hotel with a very small lobby with a sitting area area, front desk and 3 small elevators.

It is not a place where people fawn over you (which is good in my opinion) and it has a little lobby BUT it is in the gothic quarter and close to las ramblas and away from the noise.

The rooms were clean and tidy and were kept to that standard during our stay.
