The rooms on upper floors have views of the Statue of Liberty and the Harbor. The location is great for those on business. It's far from tourist attractions and there's not much nightlife. The rooms are of a good size and have been recently remodeled. The front desk is very helpful and the gym and spa are excellent. Critics dislike the lack of good restaurants you can walk to, but Roy's received positive reviews.

From Newark Liberty International Airport – EWR Follow signs to New Jersey Turnpike North. Exit at 14C (Holland Tunnel). Exit the tunnel and make first turn to the right onto Laight Street. Move 3 blocks and turn to the left onto West Street. Stay in the far right lanes and go to the end. Turn to the left onto Battery Place, and turn once more to the left to return to West Street. The hotel is at 85 West Street between Carlisle and Albany Streets.
