New World Inn & Conference Center Columbus

Nice clean rooms, comfortable beds and an outstanding and helpful staff.

I thought everything would be ok, but when we go to our suite, to my horror, the room was right outside the other wedding party's blasting band.

Room service was prompt and the food was great.

Who ever was in charge of blocking the rooms for the wedding, did an absolute horrible job.

It seems we had a lot of miscommunication with the event manager and also with the bar manager.

That would be like finding a bug in your food somewhere, having the establishment tell you they would not charge for the meal and then adding the price of the meal to the bill of the person at the next table.

Oh and then they started to take the food away without even asking us if we were through eating.

I went in to the hotel to speak to them about this and I was told that since her parents had signed a contract stating that there was a 17% gratuity on all food and drink, they were now the ones responsible for the gratuity.

The meal was not the best - - the chicken was good, the pork was very dry and overcooked.

Helpful staff, furniture wasn't very sturdy - kind of wobbly and the wedding reception buffet was very good.

The staff was friendly, room service was prompt.

The person in the front desk was real nice and patient me and my family.

In April my son and his new bride had their wedding reception at New World Inn.

It looked nice and the wait staff did a good job and that's about all I can say that's nice.

I personally do not advise anyone to have a wedding reception at the New World Inn in Columbus Nebraska.

Although I really wish that it had a pool I think that the New World Inn is the best place to stay in Columbus.

The room I had was great it was nice and clean.
