Also, despite paying a mandatory $20/day "resort fee", the hotel charges you absurd prices to rent beach chairs and umbrellas.
Although I expect a hotel this size has done its research into what people are willing to pay for things I can't help thinking that alot of people would eat and drink alot more if they dropped their prices a bit.

Let’s face it, hotel food is the same the world over, but I would agree with everyone that average quality should not equal a high price.
Athough the beautiful beach is over half a mile away and location - close to many good restaurants a Publix.
But the service , general room ammenities location (close to "waterside shops" and great weather made it all the better!
Since we reside in Germany we appreciated the location of the resort.
There were 3 sliding glass doors leading to a forty foot balcony with a chaise longe and table and chairs.
But do yourself a favor and dont book your car from the airport through thr hotel.
The bedroom was a king with an expansive bathroom and separate room for the toilet and wide whirlpool tub.
Upon arrival, we were informed that this is impossible, as all connecting rooms consist of one king-size bed and the other, two queen-size beds!
Very large bedroom and living room - HD tv's - large bathroom - in-room espresso machine.
The room was beyond expectations, large, clean and the most comfortable bed!
Our room was superb with a super bathroom and bath you could almost swim in!
It is very modern and the lobby bar and restaurant are super modern looking which did not seem to fit in at the beachy resort, however it was clean and new and the food was excellent at the lobby restaurant.
All family-friendly dining options have been eliminated in favor of an ultralounge-style bar (complete with curtained VIP tables, no doubt offering bottle service) and one fancy restaurant with limited menu.
I didn't eat in any of the hotel restaurants, but the food served at the conference events was not what I would have expected - lunch one day consisted of chicken and what looked like canned spaghetti!

All of the staff on the front desk, concierge, pool service, towel cabana were very friendly and helpful and at no time did we find the Hotel anti toddlers!

Spa is still under construction so no sauna or steam yet and felt weird about using the spa pool, jacuzzi, etc b/c of construction men around but the treatments were excellent.
The pool area and beach shuttle are through the lobby.
You have to take the lift to the pool area walk through a corridor to another lift to get to the rooms.
No free wireless (2 free high-speed Macs are available in the lobby - with a long line to use) - which is kind of chintzy in a hotel of this caliber.
Our room was very nicely furnished, quite large with two balconies and was kept very clean by Housekeeping.
The rooms were clean and updated (housekeeping is very stingy with the shower gel).
We could be out of our room for 6 hours with the "clean my room" sign on the door, and it would not happen.
For numerous reasons, I was horrified to discover the maid had come in to clean room anyway!
