Muang Samui Spa Resort Koh Samui - 苏梅岛

We loved the location - the northern end of Chaweng is so much more peaceful and because Muang is located on a sort of tip/corner, you don’t feel like there are other hotels breathing down your neck on either side of you.

Though, this hotel was excellent location in northern Chaweng, close to the action (if you like that), and gorgeous grounds, pool and beachside restaurant.

The hotel is right in front of the beach and in such a good location, we will be back if we want to look for a hotel in the main area in Samui in the future!

However while we were departing for the airport they came and asked us to sign a paper, for accounting purposes.

Cons: Make sure you confirm airport pick up with them.

Firstly the room was absolutely gorgeous, immaculately clean, nicely furnished, huge comfy bed, dvd player, great aircon, enormous bathroom with two person jacuzzi bath and best shower ever, couldn't fault it.

Outstanding rooms with another indoor jacuzzi with colored water lights and comfy bed.

The room itself was gorgeous, quite generous in size with quality wooden furniture, including a king size bed and DVD player.

They each have a large bathroom with dressing room, rain shower and jacuzzi bath.

We stayed in a Junior suite (the less expensive rooms) and really liked the teack wood, white and sand and crimson bedsheets and curtains, and the bathroom was gorgeous, complete with shower and jacuzzi.

We ate at both restaurants and like other peoples reviews, thought the Seafood restaurant across the road was very good, the restaurant inside was very impressive with the lifesize boat inside it.

A couple of really nice restaurants worth metioning are Kantara and the Amari resort restaurant, both fantastic service and food.

We didn’t try the seafood restaurant across the road, mainly because we figured why go to Samui and eat on the street when there are so many fantastic restaurants on the beach?

We ate at the Laree Lai beachfront restaurant a few times - food is not memorable, but it’s very acceptable and some dishes are very good.

Bar friendly and delicious cooked in a restaurant.

Service (Concierge) didn't really seem to have one, which means you need to use the front desk, not a huge issue, but they could improve on this by having a dedicated person.

The Hotel staff were great and the service was the best we've received anywhere.

Hotel staff were most accommodating and really quite charming & this included everyone from reception to the gardeners.

The service was the best we've received anywhere, the staff spoke good english, were friendly and warm, they always greeted us when they passed us around the resort and they seemed to know our room number without being told.

Pool at Muang is excellent - includes a waders' pool, waterfall and spa section.

Pool - very nice, with a lovely waterfall and semi-jacuzzi, it's reasonably close to the beach, but not as close as Amari and Jara Samui pool, were you can be in the pool and be admiring the ocean at the same time.

Stylish rooms, beautiful landscaping, a heavenly day spa and pool all combine to make it a slice of heaven in busy Chaweng.

Rooms are great, spacious, clean, and great AirCon!

Our room was always kept very clean and they even put our clothes in a better order than we had.

The hotel rooms are very big and clean and the shower is great.

Very clean rooms and surroundings always well maintained.

However, the suites themselves are simply beautiful - extremely tasteful and immaculately clean.
