48 hours of bliss! A beauttiful relaxing place for our 20th wedding anniversary! We'll be back, soon!
If I had to make any criticism it's about the pillows! They were just too big to sleep On and I ended up using a cushion off a chair instead! I'm sure if I'd asked in time I could have got more normal sized ones though!

The countryside around the hotel is beautiful and the facilities are good. It was nice to have a Nespresso machine in the well-equipped rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome.
The breakfast experience was an absolute nightmare! No organized system for seating so we were stuck waiting for an available table.

The staff were what I liked and the most highly trained I have seen for many years. All just little things that made a difference. If they were in your line of sight and within 7 feet or so you always got greeted, if you met staff on a hallway they stopped walking until you had passed and if you asked for directions they would drop what they were doing and guide you personally to your chosen destination.
The bed and the pillows.Only got two or three hours sleep in room 24. The matress was too big for the bed so if you went near the edge you were liable to fall out and we resorted to towels from the bathroom to use as pillows. they need to learn that pillows are for head support no to smother you. Also the room was extremely warm and there did not seem to be any way of adjusting this. Hindsight being a wonderfull thing we should have got the help of what we praised most, the staff .

We had a great stay in a beautiful, historic property. Our upgrade to the Manor House was worth it. Our room had stunning decor, clean bathroom with great amenities, and a lovely view of the grounds. The staff provided excellent service, and breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the grounds, free bikes, and live falconry demonstration. Our meal in the Main House restaurant was fantastic, with attentive service and lovely presentation. We loved the cozy atmosphere and open fires.
There was some inconsistency in the quality of food and beverage service.

The grounds the room , the comfort the swimming pool. Unfortunately we got a phone call telling us that we could not play golf, as they were carrying out maintenance, but when we arrived the golf course was open, but we had not brought our golf clubs with us, which was a big disappointment.

I have been traveling for over 40 years and this hotel is, by far, one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The location is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the food is scrumptious. Words cannot describe how wonderful this hotel is.

The Lady Helen restaurant was lovely and the staff were very attentive
A small dislike but there were small areas that were not cleaned well, for example in the corners of the restaurant and some of the upholstery was grubby in appearance

Our stay here was absolutely luxurious! The exclusive amenities exceeded our expectations, with private facilities that felt like a dream. The location advantages were also impressive, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The service was remarkable, the staff made us feel like royalty at every moment. The room advantages were exceptional, with a comfortable bed and beautiful decor.
The only downside was the swimming pool, which was a bit smaller than expected. However, it was still enjoyable, with clean facilities and attentive lifeguards.
