Moscow Marriott Tverskaya Hotel - 莫斯科

The location is good - many restaurants, pubs and coffee shops nearby.

Excellent location, just the standard corporate style hotel.

This hotel is comfortable clean and quiet in spite of its location on a very busy street.

There is a metro stop about 4 minutes from the hotel which will also take you directly to Red Square at a fraction of the cost of the London Underground.

The bill was ready in a flash, a taxi found to take us to the airport (ouch!

Room 409 was perfect, large, with a huge (very comfortable) bed bestowed with plenty of soft pillows, a bathroom well supplied with the essentials, sparkling clean - and yes the basin did have a plug built in!

The rooms were clean and spacious and I have never slept in a more sumptuous bed.

They have 2 tv's, a large bathroom, a good (costly) minibar and the beds are great.

Decor is nice, bed VERY comfortable ;) ;) good tv stations also, even nickelodeon for spongebob squarepants!

We lived scross the street from this hotel for two years and stayed here for three daysrecently as we moved our furniture from our apartment back to the UK.

Breakfast was on the second floor in a restaurant which perhaps was not quite big enough to cope on the mornings that travel groups wished to eat at the same time.

After having lived in Moscow for some time, I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Marriott Tverskaya as a guest, rather than as a visitor to their bar, restaurant, currency exchange or gift shop.

They have a generous, well-prepared (full English - with some Russian modifications) breakfast buffet, which costs about $35, and is probably the only meal that I can recommend eating in the hotel (since it is usually included in your room rate).

If you are interested in saving some money on expensive Moscow restaurant meals, there is an "Azbuka Vkusa" supermarket located about 1 block from the hotel, where you can buy very good, high quality produce and grocery items.

The prices at the restaurant and bar were reasonable by American standards.

Staff in the hotel and restaurant all speak English (some better than others, but it's there), and are pretty friendly and helpful, which is not always the case with Moscow service personnel.

Its answered by the receptionist which means that every 5 seconds you are put on hold while they deal with people in front of them and answer other lines (not the fault of the staff but its unfair on everyone!

The chirpy young man behind the miniscule reception desk knew who we were before we had opened our mouths!

But that aside the heading to this - overlong - piece was the remark by an American we met in the lift one afternoon.

The Metropol was a beautiful hotel but they only had laptop internet access in the lobby which wasn't ideal for business travel.

Wireless is available for approx 30 dollar a day.

They also have wireless access for $30 per day (the desk to set up an account has limited hours).

Rooms were well equipped and totally clean, staff friendly and helpful and breakfast of good quality.

The rooms were always clean and the staff was incredibly friendly.

The room was clean and roomy with standard Marriott amenities.

The room was kept immaculate every day, fresh sheets and pillow cases, a turn down service and chocolates each evening.
