This hotel sticks out over Monterey Bay and you can walk to the Cannery Row shops and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The location is great and the corner rooms with ocean views, albeit a little pricier, are highly recommended. It's easy to spot sea otters from your room and you'll hear seals barking at night. There's a spa with two hot tubs on the roof. Some critics disliked the rooms and felt that they were too reminiscent of motel rooms, and the lack of facilities was also criticized.
