Overall, this hotel was a gem, and a value for the money we paid.
All in all, this a good hotel, though I wouldn't feel it was a good value for much beyond the $199 we paid for our room.
We like to stay in nice hotels, and to spend this kind of money for the experience we had is a travesty.
I've never stayed in a hotel in Southern California that does not have A/C at this price point.
An easy checkin after a long drive from Monterey and the location is quite pleasant.
The location was great, a continental breakfast was served in the hotel cafe and the staff there were all so accomodating and nice.
I love the history and architecture of the building, as well as it's wonderful location on Coast Village Road.
The hotel is an easy commute by either car or bus to all the downtown Santa Barbara attractions.
We paid $425 a night to listen to all the traffic; and there is soooo much traffic coming and going: tons of huge trucks, (even a cement mixer) buses, you name it.
This room had a full bed and a king bed and two bathrooms.
The room was wonderful - two full baths with a King and full bed in the room.
The queen-bed room was adverstised on Montecito's website at $225, which they discounted to me over the phone at $185.
The bed was comfortable and the curtains kept the room dark and quiet despite the road just fifteen feet away.
My room was rather small but the bed was fantastically comfortable.
The on site restaurant is first class and there are other highly-rated restaurants withing walking distance.
There is also a restaurant and we were given an adequate continental breakfast as part of our rate.
Although we did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel it was very busy with locals so must be good.
The town of Montecito is very special with other great restaurants and shops.
Rooms are romantic, the restaurant seemed cute we didn't eat there and pool is nice.
Even after I specifically asked for the turndown service at the front desk when we were leaving to go out for the evening, at 4:30 pm.
Front desk staff was sometime inattentive - counting drawer money vs.
With it's nostalgic feel, romantic, and overall great service, great staff.
The Inn includes all the usual amenities - pool, spa, sauna, and an exercise room.
Pool and jacuzzi are very nice with beautiful flowers on the deck.
The pool was small but heated with a jacuzzi which was devine!
Free wireless - very convenient, carriage-like lamps that light the narrow and no chains or fast food.
The room was nice sized, airy and very clean.
Top this off with fresh flowers in the room and a chocolate on the pillow!
