I would NOT recommend this hotel, particularly for the price.
I would save your money and go stay at some of the other hotels in Montauk.
The owners/management of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves for the condition of the hotel and the amount of money they charge for a room.
The off-season price was expensive, but I thought it would be worth it for staying in a hotel that claims to be a caliber above the usual Hamptons and Montauk beach hotels.
It is a great location if you want to go fishing as charter and party boats are right there or very closeby (Gosman's dock).
The location is great and long Island in general tends to be overpriced.
We keep returning because of its location and it is the perfect place to just relax.
The one positive thing I can mention is the location.
King size bed in each room and we had a pull out sofa in 2 of the rooms (was reminded how uncomfortable sofabeds can be).
However, the room was very dated- mirrored vanity, cheesy bed spreads, icky carpets, and bathrooms which you might expect in a Comfort Inn.
The same room had a noisy bathroom toilet which would always run some water when another room in the house flushed their toilet (I'm a light sleepers and had to sleep with this bathroom door closed).
The walls were filthy; the air conditioning unit was a wall unit that hummed about as quietly as a Harley motorcycle; the bed spread was disgusting and immediately went to the floor; the bathroom walls/floors were filthy and full of mildew.
We arrived at our room and turned down the bed to find that the bed blanket was stained with caked on whatever.
The food was good, and better value than the restaurants in town however the bar stops serving dinner/dessert really early.
Rooms are pretty nice, the bar is good and the restaurant is AMAZING.
The hotel/club facilities were fabulous, we used the pools and the well equiped gym as well as the restaurant, cafe and bar.
The bar in the restaurant was playing CHRISTMAS music in AUGUST.
The hotel Manager suggested we could have dinner in the bar lounge/outdoor dining area which was not an option due to the weather.
All the staff bent over backwards to ensure you were having a good time, the service was excellent.
The hotel could definitely use some renovations but most of the staff was friendly and the hotel provided shuttle service to and from the hotel every hour on the hour.
At these prices you expect better service from the staff, but for a place to relax without the Hamptons buzz the Yacht Club is hard to beat.
The views are spectacular, the Montauk Yacht Club is a great resort destination and at prices you expect better service from the staff.
They even have a free shuttle every hour to take you around Montauk!
Beautiful lobby, the whole place has been renovated.
Food at The Gulf Kitchen was amazing, the pool attendants were wonderful.
The staff at MYC was very accommodating, the room was impeccably clean.
Villas and rooms are clean, housekeeping is prompt and courteous.
The staff is very accommodating and rooms are very clean.
Clean but a bit noisy as the room walls are very thin.
The lobby, with its clean, nautical feel is a bit deceiving when you get to the rooms but.
