They even had pay per view English movies, something I didn't experience at hotels more than twice this price in Italy.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise & the pricing was accurate as we felt we more than got our money's worth.
Breakfast is very good if included in the hotel price, it is continetal but with a good choice.
Right behind the hotel there are a couple very nice places to eat at very nice prices.
Fabulous location for boat travel and hotel can't be better located.
Excellent location, from the other main train station a half an hour walk away and close to shopping as well as Lake.
Good location on lakefront - close to shops & restaurants, many other wonderful hotels in Como to choose from.
Como is easy to get to - we arrived at Bergamo airport and thanks to the forums we read prior to travelling, we were able to get a bus directly outside the airport terminal to Milan Centrale station (1hr journey).
You can buy tickets on the bus - no need to queue at the airport kiosks.
Our room was of a very good size with a king size bed and a balcony which was closed with large windows and great views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.
We had room 78 which was really two rooms, one sitting room and a humongous bathroom.
The kids' room was narrow with a foldout bed and a real bed plus a desk and an old style wardrobe.
We had a very large double room that had a very comfortable queen sized bed.
The main bedroom offered a huge brass bed, made up with blankets, a very firm (hard) mattress and similarly hard pillows.
The hotel has a well respected restaurant but we did not eat there so cannot comment on this or breakfast.
We did not eat in the restaurant but only because the choice of restaurants nearby was very good.
The continental breakfast is plentiful, the restaurant is expensive but worth it, and the staff could not have been more helpful.
A quick recommendation for dining in Como: the restaurants near the Como Nord train station looked horrible.
Shops and restaurants are a short stroll.
We thought the service staff (Room maids, waiters and bell-hops) seemed to be either Thai or Sri Lankan.
Staff were very helpful in assisting us access several different venues and the service was fantastic.
I spent two days in this Hotel in Como, it has an astouding view of the lake, the service is perfect and the staff warm and friendly.
Enjoying the "passeggiata" in the delightful town of Como, wonderful reception staff and i had a beautiful balcony.
The elevator malfunctioned daily; the shower was tiny and water pressure on the fourth floor was variable at best with alternating cold & hot bursts!
The three guys at the desks in the lobby are nothing but scam artists.
No shower curtain only leaves a pool of water no matter how hard you try to keep it all dry.
The hotel is extremely clean, the staff is doing excellent job and as the rooms are a bit old.
The room was very clean, as was the hotel.
The bedroom was very clean, the food at the resaturant downstairs was excellent.
Bathroom were spotlessly clean, at 70 pp per night including a comprehensive breakfast was good value.
The room was very clean and outside cafe offered very good food along.
