Overview

Located rather far from the city center, the five-star Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort is situated minutes away from Pantai Cenang Beach and Underwater World, Langkawi Cable Car and Telaga Harbor.

The hotel is considered to be a world of ethnic charm inspired by a Malaysian traditional village concept along a kilometer stretch of white sandy beaches.

All 331 guestrooms offer satellite TV and a mini-bar as well as panoramic sea and lake views.

Staff are friendly and helpful, once in the room the porter showed us round our room, all of their restaurants provide delicious food.
Fantastic hotel, instead of staying in a large building and prices not too bad at all.
Found the food better inside the hotel and the staff were friendly and nice.

The Irish pub serves pretty good fish chips, pool bar also does great food during the day.

The hotel price only inclusive free breakfast for adults, poor reception staff and our room was not as spacious as the one we stayed at in Kuala Lumpur.

Location wise this resort is very good, Langkawi is a great holiday destination.

Front desk staff need extensive customer service training and the bathrooms are small and dated. The boathouse bbq restaurant is disgusting and expensive.
