We arrived with luggage and no one to help us with this and as we are an elderly couple missed this service. The room was adequate but expensive. M.Williams UK

We didn't realise how steep the roads were to the hotel, and would not have booked this one otherwise.

Staff were helpful, good view from restaurant, some facilities were good.

Rooms a bit dated - old crusty iron, mouldy bath mat, old noisy A/C-heater. Also Internet was ridiculously expensive - $115 for 1GB over 7 days!

Recycling in room was impressive, never seen that before in a hotel. Location to city was convenient.

I think the prices charged for parking are excessive, and the price for internet is beyond a joke. These days internet should be provided free of charge in hotels, if MacDonalds can do it, so can hotels. $20 for 24 hours, and even then you still have usage limits, is far too high, and for that reason alone I would not return, or recommend this hotel.

Staff were nice and rooms were clean.

We arrived at 2::00 am and asked for a late checkout due to our arrival time which the staff were nice enough to grant. It was well after 3:00am by the time we finally got to bed and we were awaken at about 6:30-7:00 am by a huge racket on the roof above us that continued for a long time. Apparently the night/morning we stayed was window washing time and this continued for in excess of a couple of hours with constant banging and loud noise. Gave up trying to sleep and left asap. As I had booked two rooms I felt this hotel was a waste of money. Surely being a hotel the windows could be cleaned at a more appropriate time. Say like when people aren't sleeping!!!!! Just a thought. Nothing like trying to get dressed as well while window cleaners were looking in your window. Very disappointed in this. Management, especially in a Mercure hotel, should of been a little bit more considerate of their guest.

Nice rooms & facilities, very helpful staff, handy to the city. Special rates/deals are good value.

I liked the fact that the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

I felt that the rooms and especially the bathrooms appeared a little tired.

          the location and price

the man on arrival was unfriendly

Very good staff who were attentive to your needs. The rooms were reasonably sized and scrupulously clean. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate supplies were great and replenished generously. Shampoo/Conditioner, bath gel and bar soap were provided free with options to purchase a wider range of requirements. A good overall experience for the cost. I have stayed with the chain before and so I decided to join their Loyalty programme this time.

I felt $14+ for 2 hours internet was excessive, especially as you could not log in or out. The timer went on and stopped at 2 hours regardless. I didn't want to use the internet for 2 hours at a stretch and would have preferred to log out and enter again later. I was waiting on a reply to an e-mail but it didn't matter whether you tried to log off or not. A better system please! I would go to a simiarly priced hotel that had better internet provisions.

I enjoyed our stay, food was good, staff freindly

Childrens selection of meals not great wodnt get them pizza again, a thin crust with cheese n tomatoes hardly a pizza. Parking should be inclusive of price. My only other concern was we stayed on a floor with no cooking facilities which we choose and a big crowd of indians, brought their cooking facilities withthem and stunk out the whole floor we were on. Shodnt be allowed, the odour goes through walls.

Really liked the friendly helpful staff, the cleanliness, and although we didn't have time to use many of the facilities I was very impressed and they would be a factor in choosing to stay again.
