I was really impressed with the care that they showed me and the fact that the chef went out of his way to obtain gluten-free food - especially the sausages - for my breakfast! I will certainly recommend this hotel to other Coeliacs.

Good gym facilities and excellent food! The staff on reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again. I travel with business and would recommend this hotel as a lovely relaxing quality hotel for the end of a busy day. Also in a lovely location, the village in very charming and fairly quiet.

let down a little by it's food. Evening meal not bad, but a little expensive . The breakfast ( which was extra and not included in the room rate) at £10 was very poor value. The food was kept hot under lamps, causing it all to over-cook, no eggs, no choices, warm coffee.

the staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were fine, an excellent spa deal. We probably will come again and great location for shops. an enjoyable break.

The Spa and Leisure facilities were exceptional. The best steam room and jacuzzi I've ever experienced!! We loved everything about our stay at the Mercure South Marston!

Very good customer service and readiness to help especially when my car broke down. The hotel is very neat and located in a quite country side which I like very much.

The catering service can be improved on.

No sign for reception, needs to be above the door in the main link corridor. Seal on shower door gone, large puddle in the bathroom. No hot chocolate or biscuits in the room.

Contrary to other reports we found the hotel staff very frriendly, the room was comfortable the food (evening meal) was well presented, the young who were being trained were polite and a credit. We only stayed one night but would have been happy to have stayed for longer.

Location but this reflected in the price.

This hotel was a really pleasant experience! The room was fresh and well maintained and the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Best of all for what was a budget price was the spa and sports facilities.

Signage - hard to find reception; cost of restaurant food

On check-out the receptionist was very helpful and offered us coffee because we had been unable to connect to wi-fi in our room.

We were kept waiting in reception nearly ten minutes on arrival.

the reception readily moved us to a ground floor room when we discovered the hotel didnt have a lift. staff were very helpful at giving us extra t- bags/milk etc

the corridors were looking tatty in the part we stayed in. .
