Too bad, as the location has a lot of potential, I have stayed in a lot of Mercure Hotels before and aside from location this rates among the worst.
The location was convenient and the hotel staff was lovely.
Good location not too far from downtown and nice hotel.

Rooms are small with no room for luggage without tripping over it, no kettle, no hair blower, mini bar which is empty of any items, basically a bed and TV only.
The advertised Mercure Nightclub in the basement of the hotel only opens occasionally, remaining bar and restaurant a very sad experience.
From the hotel you can walk to a few nearby coffee shops and restaurants, and its very easy to get a taxi.
Best by far food option is the China House restaurant adjacent to the hotel, however it is closing end September due to lack of business in the hotel which it relies on.
The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice.
The view from the deck was great to look out at the Med, the staff were ridiculously helpful and the breakfast was lovely.
