Mercure Ouarzazate

Stylish surroundings, the location of the hotel is wonderful there is an amazing view on the region.

I thought this was odd considering the desert location of the hotel.

Ouarzazate is easily reached by shared/individual taxi or by bus in an average journey time of 4 hours from Marrakech.

The room was pleasant with a very comfortable bed.

All rooms also have air con and satellite tv.

Very good position, i am surprised this has a 4* rating and extremely comfortable bed.

While the rooms are small and a bit odd (no bedside tables), each one has a balcony and a modern and clean bathroom.

The toilet is separate from the sink/shower room, which is kind-of nice.

The breakfast buffet is fantastic, and can be eaten either in the restaurant (which has a glass wall that is also one side of the swimming pool, like an aquarium -- very cool) or on the terrace overlooking the kasbah.

Breakfast is served downstairs in the main restaurant and is very nice with a huge selection of food, hot drinks and juices.

We also ate dinner in the restaurant on our first night and had a very enjoyable meal.

Nice bar serves alchool, good food and the pool was great.

Good breakfast buffet, but mediocre dinner buffet - better to eat out in the evening.

The front desk staff is wonderful and helpful, and the hammam is clean and usually empty.

And all the Reception staff (except one) were really nice.

The reception staff were very welcoming and we were very pleased with our room which contained a fridge and a safe.

The reception staff are very helpful and provided us with maps and organised an onward taxi to take us to Zagora.

There is one (free of charge) internet computer near the lobby and pool.

The pool and lounge area were beautiful and I regret that we did not have any time to enjoy them.

There is a nice heated outdoor pool, which I was able to use even in January, with sunbeds around it.
