Mercure Le Mans Centre - 勒芒

Mercure Le Mans Centre - Be very careful, easy access from the station.

Our room was large with a big double bed, with plenty of space to turn in my wheelchair, and a well designed bathroom except for one thing - the toilet flush was so far up the wall I could not reach it!

On the plus side – conveniently situated for Le Mans centre, very handsome interiors, clean, spacious room, good sized bathroom, comfortable bed.

Excellent room, great feeling of luxury in style and details, wonderful bed with quilt.

Our windows opened, but this 2nd floor room overlooked an extremely large and noisy airconditioning plant in the car park, so it was either terrible heat or terrible noise.

However, our room was very hot and stuffy, and the air conditioning not working.

Beautifully laid out, but totally inedible – everything was stale, and the cooked food congealed and/or rock hard - the scrambled egg was the worst I have seen in my life!

Good value, stylish 19th century building and also the young staff on the reception desk were as pleasant.

Also the young staff on the reception desk were as pleasant and as helpful as they could be, in the circumstances (the circumstances being that there was usually only one person on duty, who seemed to have to do absolutely everything in the hotel).

Good value for money, great feeling of luxury in style and staff were friendly.

After listening to the receptionist for ten minutes telling me I obviously didn't know how to turn the temperature dial down, and that the aircon was working perfectly, she agreed to "verify my claim" that it wasn't whilst we went out to dinner.

The manager has an interest in another hotel (The Marine) which is like a University Halls of Residence in a very seedy part of town.
