Mercure Hotel Windsor Auckland - 奥克兰

The hotel was in a very central location, with a supermarket, cafes, etc nearby.

For those who are on a quick sight seeing tour , comforts of the hotel are a distant second to the location and ease of travelling.

This is a little gem - we were here for just one night to watch the Foo Fighters' concert, and the location of this hotel was excellent.

The tiled floor was uneven with some sharp corners for the unwary foot and with the grout breaking off from between some of the tiles The shower contained 1 soap rack that was falling off.

The entrance to the hotel is directly on one of the bussiest streets in Auckland, there are no stopping facilities outside the hotel and therefore cab drivers will drop you off around the corner and you will have to lug your baggage to the hotel.

Luckily, they no longer required to as the room was extremely small with one Queen bed.

What we got put in was a TINY room with only ONE BED - nothing DELUXE or TWIN about it at all!

It had room for a bed and nothing much else!

It was literally just a bed, a side table, one chair, and the bathroom.

We got the queen bed and a tiny kitchenette in the corner but the room was small.

Ideally located on Queen Street, this hotel is perfect for those who like to be within walking distance of plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Reasonable breakfast, as well as the Viaduct for dinner in the evening.

Breakfast is adequate - nothing more and useful to have laundrey facilities available.

Breakfast was good and typical NZ fare with eggs, bacon and beans among other things.

Situated on Queen Street, this is in the heart of Auckland, and only 5 minutes walk from the the renovated marina area with all the bars and restaurants.

However the front desk staff were hopeless when I asked for directions to the museum and art gallery, and could not help at all in interpreting the various shuttle bus services which circle Auckland.

Front desk staff were lovely and the daytime manager the next day was much more helpful.

Hotel staff was very attentive and other way all the service was good.

Convenient for shops, seemed good value and reception staff all very helpful.

As the lift is not visible from the lobby the key card is needed to get the lift to work.

The lifts to rooms are situated before you get to Reception and I had to lift my case up 4/5 steps as I didn't feel comfortable leaving it in the unattended foyer where public have ready access to it.

There was a sauna and spa, but these did not work, the staff offered to book the other Mecure spa/sauna but it was also not working.

Rooms were recently refurbished from the looks of it, and were very clean, modern and tidy.

Clean, tidy, and quiet, for a room overlooking Queen St.

The bathroom was clean and the facilities were good.

Staff continued to be nice and the rooms are functional and clean.

The rooms are functional and clean, if uninspiring and lacking in enough drawer/hanging space.
