Mercure Honfleur - 翁弗勒尔

Clean is well located for visiting Honfleur and the hotel location is near the harbor all the action is taking place.

The location was very close to that beautiful harbour of Honfleur.

My wife and I chose this hotel for a three night break mainly for its location.

Great view of the Pont de Normandie bridge and superb central location including 10 euros a day parking in the gated large car park.

I would highly recommend this location and hotel as either a stopover 'en route' for those travelling further south, or for a weekend break in its own right.

The modern room I got overlooked the Normandy Bridge in the distance and was well appointed with an excellent bathroom with tub and shower.

The beds were very comfortable with cotton linen and the bathroom was better than many high class hotels I have stayed in,in particular, the lighting.

I understand that most Europeans take baths and not showers; however, if the hotel room has the hand-held shower head on a rod so that it can be used as a traditional shower, then why not spend the extra $5/room and install a curtain?

The room and bathroom were comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed.

The room was like an english travelodge room, clean and the beds were comfortable.

The staff was extremely friendly, there was a proper bath and breakfast was lovely - a huge assortment of fresh food.

Right next door as you go left out of the hotel is a bar/cafe which will give you a "grand cafe" for 2 euros, as is a Supermarket a little further down to load up on water, pop or whatever.

A fabulous French chic resort with amazing restaurants and all the designer shops you can imagine.

We didn't take part in their breakfast as there was a boulangerie right next door that had things we like to eat!

Breakfast at the hotel is offered "express" (I assume a small take-away type thing), in the dining room downstairs or in the room.

Very helpful staff on reception, the bathroom well equipped and nice breakfast buffet.

Reception staff were charming and the room was comfortable.

Our room at the front of the hotel had a nice view of the water and reception staff spoke good English.

It had Secure/enclosed car parking (daily charge) because we felt more comfortable with the car being off-street overnight.

The elevator was a welcome plus as is back door parking in private hotel parking lot.

The check in was swift and very efficient, and they let us know of the option of parking behind their building for 6 Euro/day.

There was a good view across the river and the hotel rooms were clean and tidy.

Yes, it is a modern hotel (rooms were a bit like a Travel Lodge in some ways) but the place was lovely and clean.

We had asked for quiet rooms at the back of the hotel on the top floor - these were very good, clean and quite spacious.
