Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Vienna - 维也纳

Great location close to City Airport Train and hotel is very clean.

The location is decent but not excellent, the immediate neighborhood is not where the average tourist would want to spend their time in Vienna.

The greatest advantage of this hotel is a very convenient location, which is just a 5 minutes walk from the train station at which you arrive from the airport.

However, it is on an important local street, with good stores and restaurants, a 5-minute walk from the Rochusgasse metro station and thus well-connected to the city.

The room was wonderful: large, nice bedding and linens, good bed, bathrobes for our use, airconditioning, and a great bathroom.

The configurations of the rooms are designed to maximize the utilization of space and we had two twin beds that could not be connected, There was no bathtub but rather a small shower.

Bed linens, pillows very skimpy and bath towels scratchy.

We had a 2-story suite on the seventh floor with great beds and bathrooms.

They gave me an incredibly tiny room with a single bed.

The hot-and-cold breakfast buffet was fine, and the restaurant food very good, with a lot of interesting wines offered.

But what really made this stay memorable was the friendliness of the staff – at the check-in/out, in the restaurant, at the bar or whenever we crossed a maid in the hallway – smiling faces.

There had been a mixup between the reservations dept and the front desk.

Everything was just fine as should be in Vienna and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Good friendly stuff, staff was excellent.

So you end up sitting in a drafty lobby to get.

The internet was not gratis and it was expensive, and only available in the hotel lobby which is the sum of four seats by the main door which every time it opened gave a good gust of December air- very unfriendly to the business traveler.

It would be nice if the hotel could offer complimentary wireless, like the Best Western, to all guests.

Attentive and considerate staff, the room was spacious and clean.

Nice & clean sauna area and cosy and quality of room.

The breakfast buffet is very rich, but the breakfast room gets crowded very easily and it may take ages before you get a table and then catch an attention of someone who would provide you with a clean cup, coffee, etc.

As for the hotel, the stay was fine, the room was clean, service good.
