Mercure Cardiff Centre Hotel - 加地夫

The hotel is located near to several car showrooms and beside a timber merchants, so not the nicest location for a hotel.

The location is excellent too and the bathroom are of a higher grade than other hotels of.

Great location and value for money clean.

There was no public transport nearby and so we relied heavily on taxis to travel independently of the group.

It is quite easy to find from the city centre and about 15 minutes walk from Cardiff Central train station, but isn't in the best location if you arrive on foot.

Our initial booking stated the room would consist of 2 double bedded rooms which is not what we received - double and a single bed.

2 floors) and the rom was really great - 2 huges beds, lots of space, LCD TV, decent bathroom, good powe shower (no bath).

The rooms were on the large side, with very comfy beds, fantastic facilities, and outstanding bathrooms.

The room itself wasn't very interesting but was spacious with a comfortable bed.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom immaculate.

The free juice/coffree bar, excellent buffet breakfast and fantastic facilities.

Bad points- breakfast was just OK, addition of a restaurant and room servcie would be nice, but might add to the price.

This is because that hotel does not have it's own restaurant/cafe and there is no restaurants nearby.

There isn't room service or a restaurant as such, but a continental breakfast was thrown in with our room, which was ok, but I wouldn't have paid for it otherwise.

The breakfast was good and the restaurant is great as it's right out in the open and is very trendy.

Downstairs in the reception area has lovely seating area, the hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

For the price we paid we got more than we expected, the staff were polite and male Check in Receptionist was excellent.

There is no room service but the staff help you order in from local takeaways.

After about 20 mins, the reception staff finally realised that I was still there and asked me to come back over to the counter.

The only slight downside is that you are a bit away from either the centre or the wonderful new Cardiff Bay area, but it is walkeable to the city and you do get free car parking.

Every thing seems to be free (Tea, Coffee, Juice, [in reception] Broadband, phone calls, car parking) How can they make money when all other hotels seem to charge for this stuff?

There was plently car parking space though.

The bathrooms are spotless and amazing shower.

Our room was comfortable, clean, quiet and very pleasant.

Bathrooms are immaculately clean with great roomy power shower cubicle.

Clean and modern hotel, excellent staff, attractive rooms - nice roomy shower.

Room was spotless, the breakfast was good.
