Peaceful and unbeatable location - just walking distance from everywhere we needed. Besides, Normandy Museum was 3 km away from the property.

We had a blast with our friends, exploring the awesome attractions nearby. From hitting the driving range to taking golf lessons, we felt like pros! The golf clubhouse was the perfect spot to chill and hang out, creating unforgettable memories. It was epic!
Honestly, the only thing we wished for was a bit more nightlife in the hotel. As young party-goers, we craved some late-night fun and upbeat vibes.

We stayed at Mercure for one night as a convenient stopover on our way to Normandy/Brittany. The location was surprisingly quiet and with the help of the reception staff, especially Jean-Pierre, we found it to be a bonus rather than a disadvantage. The room was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was excellent. We also appreciated the large car park, which was free of charge. The nearby Carrefour hypermarket was convenient for any shopping needs. a great hotel for our stopover.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

Check in trouble free with polite staff. The room was more than we had expected. Spacious, clean, bright and airy. Furnished to a high standard. Tea making facilities which we hadn't encountered elsewhere in France. Bathroom had wonderful shower and was very clean with plenty of towels. Quality toileteries

We stayed at Mercure for one night on our way back to the UK. The location was perfect for catching the ferry from Ouistreham, and it was within the Caen University Hospital campus. The room on the ground floor was spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel had a secured car park and was only a short 15-20 minute drive to the ferry port. The breakfast had plenty of choices, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The surrounding areas and nearby villages were delightful to explore, including the D-Day beaches and Arromanches. it was the best hotel in our road trip and provided excellent service and comfort. Perfect for a stop-over before the ferry.
Would recommend this hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and polite. The breakfast and dinner options were delicious, and I appreciated the choice between cooked and cold meals. The hotel also had a lovely reception, bar, and restaurant area. I would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and tasty meals.
Drawbacks: The only downside was the location, as it was situated in a business park area and there wasn't much to do or explore nearby. Additionally, there was no clock in the room, which would have been helpful.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we received excellent service throughout our stay. The room was modern and spotless, providing us with enhanced comfort. The hotel also had a lovely restaurant and bar where we enjoyed a delicious meal and good service. The location was perfect for us, as it was close to both the town and the port. We also appreciated the easy access to attractions such as Omaha Beach. this place exceeded our expectations and was the best hotel we stayed at during our road trip.
We found the location of this hotel to be a bit remote, as there were limited supermarkets, bars, and eating places nearby. However, this is not a major issue if you have a car and can drive to restaurants and tourist sights.

WiFi much too slow.

The staff were helpful, and the breakfast was more than expected being a buffet. The Tram stop outside the hotel was the life safer to take you to Caen,(cheap to)
We arrived at night about 10pm from ferry only to find , bar was open (very expensive) but no food being served(not even sandwiches). The hotel is isolated as there are no cafes or bars near by. Be warned no Tram service from ferry to hotel...so had to be a 20 minute ride in Taxi costing £40 The average cost of a pint of beer in most places was £5 (yes five pounds)
