Mercure Budapest Metropol - 布达佩斯

Very conveniently located near a metro and hotel has good location.

The location is good and the hotel is well located.

Great location, good standard hotel and the staff were all very courteous and helpful.

Near the metro line and buses, easy access to taxis, walking distance to some good restaurants.

It is literally a few steps to the entrance but our taxi driver from the airport dumped my luggage unceremoniously on the pavement and literally shooed me out of the taxi with a sleeping child.

The bed was comfortably soft, as I like it: duvets were supplied but when I asked for a couple of blankets and a sheet, they were delivered to my room promptly.

The separate toilet and bathroom was a nice touch.

We were given a smoking room because the only non-smoking rooms available were facing the busy street however there was barely any smell of smoke so we kept the room as it faced a small quiet courtyard.

The Bedroom / Bathroom were also very minimalist, with little or no character.

Rooms are small-but actually very quiet ( facing courtyard) and bathrooms are very clean and in good condition.

Lobby and breakfast area/bar are depressing.

On the plus side, the room was clean and quiet, the breakfast was good, room service prompt, and location very convenient (near a Metro station and near shops and within walking distance to the river and Vaci Utca).

They charge extra for everything, ie about € 14 just for breakfast, a ridiculous amount since for this you could have 5 good meals outside in Budapest!

If there was one area that let the hotel down it would be the bar.

Not really somewhere that you would want to spend too much time as it was an extension of the breakfast area however the service was friendly and prompt.

Very good location in the centre of Budapest near the metro station, also hotel staff helpful and maid service was apparent in a limited kind of way.

The reception staff were friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable.

You also can not use the internet service after midnight, althought the staff can sit around using it!

The lone female staff member working the reception was helpful- but the 3 men we encountered were silly to deal with-- and I only had 2 simple questions to take up thier precious time.

Our stay was pretty comfortable, reservation staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the room was clean and quiet.

De plus, on n’a pas le droit d’utiliser le service Internet au-delà de minuit, alors que le personnel est là, assis à surfer devant vous!

The Mercure Metropol in Budapest did have a few different quirks however that set it apart from some of the others - the hotel has a theme based on the Budapest Metro system, the lifts (elevators) are like entering a historic train.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean.

Staff very friendly and kind, bathrooms are very clean.

Service was great and all rooms were clean.

All rooms were clean, comfortable and provided the facilities you would expect - certainly for the price paid.

The place was clean too, staff was generally polite and helpful, the room was large and quiet.
