We arrived in Budapest and drove around looking for a hotel - I suspect that is why we didn't get a good price for the room, as we walked off the street.
I am certainly not picky and always bear in mind the price of a hotel room before judging it.
Still, the Hotel is not actually close to the center (as are many other hotels in that price range like the Carlton) and the river view features a rather ugly concrete bridge and some tram stations.
Extremely good location to visit the city or the nearby universities and the hotel is clean.
The location, although close to the Danube, isn't so great.
The location is just perfect working at the business center accross from the river, the large main intersection road is off putting outside and the hotel staff are very friendly and accomodating.
Not in a particularly pretty part of Budapest but taxi's are easily available anyway.
Yes, it's across the street from a tram stop, but that's all this place has going for it.
The Room: The size and furniture of the room was all right, though the tub as well as the toilet was cracked and the color was flaking of the washstand.
Our window overlooked the backs of several run down apartment buildings.

The included breakfast buffet is also very good with a good selection of hot and cold foods and very polite waitresses.
The Hotel is well situated for a street called Raday which is just a 5 minute walk away, and has a good selection of bars and restaurants.
At the reception the staff was little annoyed tha they had to speak to us in English(!
The staff were ok, not overly friendly, but managed to answer a few questions for us in English.
To get a tram ticket, I recommend that you go to an underpass and purchase from a staff member at a booth.
What really impressed me was the Staff's patience.
