Would totally recommend hotel for a value for money stay (not honeymoon/ pamper material) About 110 euros a night per room was great - there really don't seem to be any top class hotels around Bergamo but this one is fine for a short trip.
Handy position and very good hotel for not too much money.
In addition hotel is clean, for this price is hard to find smth better and i am surprised of soundproof the windows to the street were.

The location was central and was very well located near the train station.
Thanks to the central location we have explored the city of Bergamo and stylish hotel very close to train station.
The location is great,100 metres from the station and on routes to get to the Citta Alta, and 1 minute from a supermarket for all those supplies for day trips.
Its about 10 mins from the airport and costs 15 euros in a taxi or aprox 1 Euro 30 for the airport bus, which runs every 25 mins and stops opposite the Mercure Hotel or just up the road at the station.
As previously stated, the hotel is no more than a few minutes walk from the train station, and 10/15 minutes taxi ride away from the Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport, what more could you ask for?
There was a good movie selection, comfortable bed, large spacious room and bathroom.
The comfort of the room: excellent bed, all facilities are new.
The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet and we had a lovely view of the old Bergamo, high on a hill.
Had view of old city from hotel room, the staff was very helpful and the bed was big and comfortable.
We had a huge bathroom in our room that was probably 70% of the the size of the bedroom.
There are plenty of brilliant restaurants and we found them all to be good value, the Franco restaurant in the Citta Alta was fantastic, we had the a la carte menu and the food was beautifully prepared.
Having seen the reviews on Trip Adviser we made it down for breakfast a little before 9am each morning and found that usually we were the only ones in the restaurant!
Nice bar, pleasant breakfast and having not many facilities.
We ate breakfast at various times and food was always plentiful.
The hotel was excellent, the room was modern and spotless and contrary to previous posts, the breakfast was of a good standard with plenty of food.
Have just returned from a 4 night stay at Palazzo Dolci, pleased to say it lived up to its description, though the female reception staff were much friendlier than the males.
Reception staff are both friendly and helpfull.
