Another plus for the location is the proximity to the Riksmuseum which is only a 5 minute walk away.

The location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam and there are tram links close by.

Very good location in a quiet street, the hotel was near to the centre and there was lots of useful literature in the room.

The taxi from Cenral Station cost us 13 Euros which equated to approximately a 20 minute walk.

Hard to find hotel though, when you arrive at airport, train to Amsterdam Central and then Tram 24 or 25.

We were allocated Room 108 which we suspect normally had two single beds but the management had put in a roll-away bed as well.

Bathroom has no tub, but 24hour hot water plus bath amenities make up for that.

The clean, bright bathroom was huge with a proper full-size bath tub with over-bath shower.

The bathrooms are fairly small and don't have a bath, but the shower is large (not the most powerful, but it does the job) and always toiletries and plenty of towels.

We got clean towels every day, the carpet was vacuumed daily, and the bed was made daily.

I would stay here again, but I would use the Bagel shop around the corner for breakfast and I would drink at the Marybelle bar opposite the French Consulate (on the main road in the direction of the 'Tehran' restaurant).

From previous reviews we elected not to use the expensive hotel breakfast bar but to eat at a small cafe a few hundred meters south of the hotel on the main road - that was fine.

2 restaurants within 1 minutes walk - a steakhouse (very popular) and a Persian restaurant next door to it - went in here one day because the steakhouse was full and have been going back ever since - great food and service.

The hotel doesn't offer much by way of facilitys, expensive breakfast and a small dingy bar but the rooms are comfy dispite being very basic but have some charm about them.

Breakfast was just so-so; we only ate there once and preferred to walk to Village Bagel on the main street.

Location was great and we were greeted cordially by a member of the Reception staff helped us to park our car in a tight space.

Very quiet location, service by the staff was exceptionally good and the room was very nice and clean.

The room (we stayed at 222 non-smoking) was clean - and they kept it that way.

Our group of 14 despite our late friday evening arrival were welcomed efficiently & checked in quickly to our small clean ensuite rooms.
