Melia Cala D'Or Bh - Cala D´Or

Really good location, really nice hotel and the staff were all very friendly.

Perfect location in a relatively quiet area being within easy walking distance of everything and this is a comfortable hotel.

The location of the hotel is good, away from the hustle of Cala D'Or centre whilst still being easily accessible on foot.

Reccomend that you hire a car for the airport as a taxi cost 60 euros each way.

The Terrace is equipped with a large table with 4 chairs, it also has 2 very comfortable padded sunchairs with foot stools.

There are two choice of rooms but it you have children the suites are highly recommended you have your own kitchen/dinning and sitting room (bed settee very comforable and is turned down each night and made back up during day) and a huge king size.

Our suite was great, lovely bathroom with jacuzzi bath, a kitchenette area with electronic shutter, tv in bedroom and living area, lots of storage.

Separate bedroom with huge bed with an abundace of pillows , lounge with settee and comfy chair, TV and DVD, table and chairs.

The TV provides over 40 channels with high quality reception, programmes from the UK include BBC1, BBC World, ITV1, Skysports1, National Geographic Channel, Fox News, CNN, Eurosports, The bedroom has a King Size Bed and another TV with all channels.

We stayed in suite 421 with a whirlpool bath, separate bedroom and kitchen area.

It manages to be smart but relaxed at the same time - breakfasts are served in a lovely bright restaurant overlooking the gardens and the poolside bar provided lovely salads for lunch.

The food was excellent and the Breakfast all you could want, we had a hire car and toured round the island but came back to Cala D'or to eat most nights where there are many good restaurants.

Breakfast are FAB, we only went on B&B as so many restaurants in the area again all geard up for families.

The town itself is small with plenty of restaurants (although we didn't manage to find a decent spanish restaurant serving tapas).

The hotel has zero entertainment, so only come here if you wish to relax, the pedestrianised restaurant and bar area of Cala D'or is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel so if you want to be entertained you have not got far to walk.

All the staff - from the meeting at reception, waiters and waitresses and cleaning staff were all excellent and always had a smile and a hello for us.

From the helpful , Barbara ,at the front desk, staff in the restaurant, and room maids, all were very professional and efficient.

Clean, great location and excellent service from a friendly staff.

It is also interesting to note that his hotel has retained a core of staff within reception and the dining room since first opening, which says a lot for this hotel chain.

We chose not to make use of the Sauna, fitness room, indoor or outdoor pool, but all facilities looked excellent.

When we were there in May the outside pool was still cold so we made use of the indoor pool and jacuzzi.

The indoor pool is heated and the outdoor one has an inbuilt jacuzzi at one end.

We had a lovely suite, which was extremly comfortable, exceptionaly clean and tidy.

Our suite was large and clean on the ground floor next to the Pool.

The suite we has was very well equiped,spacious and clean with a large terrace and on the groundfloor which I did'nt like at first but then I changed my mind and it was the best option.

On a plus, the rooms were lovely and exceptionally clean with cleaning staff working from 0700 until 2200 every day.

We had a junior suite (125) and this was very well equipped, clean & comfortable.
