Melia Alicante - 阿里坎特

The hotel has a great location and is close to all bars and shops of the main street.

Great location close to beach/port/bars resturants.

The location is great, we just wanted to wander the promenade and eat and drink at the nearby restauarnts.

The hotel melia cost about 14 euros in a taxi from the airport and was about a ten minute drive.

Remember, all similar hotels are very central so this can`t really be a reason to book (15 Euro for Taxi to hotel/town from the Airport @ 20 mins with no traffic).

It was a corner room, and contained two single beds pushed together as a double bed, a table and chair, an easy chair, a desk/bureau, a love seat and flat panel tv.

We stayed in a Suite and there was plenty of room, 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies, LCD flat screen tv's, mini bar and towels changed everyday.

The bathroom was actually two rooms, one containing the sink, and the other with the bathtub and commode.

The beds were comfortable, rooms clean, lots of hanging space, room service reasonably priced and very quick.

The positives are clean rooms with the clean lines and (fairly standard) brown andblack decor, flat-screen TVs, good wide beds and decent bathrooms/showers.

Also for a small surcharge you can make use of their Level 5 bar & lounge for that more exclusive feel and restaurant Darsena is nice as well as popular.

Great bar called havana that did some fab mojitos and the food was excellent in the restaurant.

There are free drinks at the lounge/bar every evening except Sunday and breakfast every morning except Mondays.

Lovely free bar, fantastic breakfast and a vast choice of hot.

The mature gentleman at the bar is possibly the best worker I have seen, castle breakfast a bit expensive and your waiter is a professional not a wannabe actor.

Once you go away from the front desk staff, English is limited and I did struggle when it came to calling room service etc.

People were checking out in their droves, and we overheard the receptionist staff giving discounts on the bills.

Hotel has about 500 rooms but only max 60 or so sunbeds by pool, plus you have to pay to use indoor pool and spa.

The outside pool is perfect sized with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, and the water is a lovely temp.

Good food, superb choice for visiting Alicante and very well priced spa.

The Staff in each department were excellent and rooms were clean & tidy.

Room was very clean and the Level breakfast was a small selection.

Our room was well appointed, very clean, comfortable and had a fantastic sea view.

In addition staff were pleasant and friendly, the rooms were very good and clean, the breakfast was the best I have ever had: breads.
