The executive double room was newly decorated with access to the executive lounge. The location was incredible, close to Her Majesty's Theatre.

The hotel is silent and spotless. The well-trained and friendly staff are professional. The rooms are well-equipped with plenty of space and a mini bar. Excellent service. Delicious breakfast options. Comfortable and prime location, around a 4-6 minute walk from Queen Victoria.

Rewritten Review: This venue has a fantastic atmosphere and is extremely clean, plus there's a great restaurant called Chin Chin just a short walk away.

Love where it was located so close to get to everything and also close to public transport.

I had a great stay at this hotel in the heart of the city. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to the central shopping area and Chinatown, where I found many fantastic restaurants. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The rooms were tidy and had all the necessary essentials, including Executive Lounge access for my kids and mother-in-law. I appreciated having breakfast included, which was a convenient and delicious start to each day.

The only minor issue was that the mini bar was not cleaned.

We have stayed there many times over many years. I like: * the location * the decor in the rooms, the lobby and bar area * the staff who were excellent, particularly Valerie, the night manager This is an excellent hotel, particular for an American chain hotel. It is friendly and more efficient than others I have stayed at. Keep up the good work

Drinks not being served in the pool area

The greeting with a glass of sparkling wine was a very nice touch as we had been on the go since 5am, with flights and then business and finally a little longer than expected walk to the hotel from south bank it was an unexpected but very nice suprise. The temporary closure of the pool was not mentioned when I made the booking , which was disappointing to discover only once I entered my room to find a letter as this was one of the key reasons for choosing the Marriott .Credit to them as they did offer an alternative. The room was nice and love the big screen tv first time in any of the many hotels I have stayed in.The was not as comfortable as I would have expected .

The staff are the best I have ever encountered, the location of the hotel is perfect and the upgrade was value for money. We will definitely stay with Marriott Melbourne again.

Too far to go to have a smoke and it was through the health gym, we just went outside the front of the hotel and it was cold and windy.
