Hotel Medinaceli Barcelona - 巴塞罗纳

The hotel is in a very good location, a short walk from the bottom of Las Ramblas and the metro station which is located there.

The hotel has an excellent location - a corner away from the action at Ramblas and just across the road from the Acquarium and the shopping/restaurant complex Maremagnum.

As every one has said its in a great location for La Rambles, the Port, beach and Gothic Quarter.

You can get to it whenever you need it and they can arrange taxis or recommend tours for you if you are spending extra time in Barcelona.

We were bundled into a taxi and taken to the Hotel Medinaceli.

We didn't need use of the room safe as we were only staying one night and the bed, linens and bathroom amenities were very good and perfect for our needs.

The room was clean and bed was nice and firm but the pillows were a bit rubbish really, the shower lacked much power, and the lighting was a bit dim.

There is a fancy LCD television in the rooms as well, not that you would really want to stay in your room and watch TV.

The bedrooms are a good size and the bathrooms are very modern.

Room was large and spacious with an ok sized bathroom with a decent shower.

We enjoyed an amazing meal and delicious Tapas at a restaurant on the Ramblas only a short walk away - Amaya.

We paid for breakfast in the hotel on the first morning and it was served in a downstairs dining room with very little atmosphere.

The hotel is located near the bottom of the Barri Gotic, walking distance to the excellent shops and restaurants in the "East Village-y" neighborhood and the more "Soho-y" Born area.

Only disappointment was the breakfast not great quaility and we only ate there on the first day after that we did not bother even though included in the price.

The hotel is very close to the sea front and there is an excellent bar serving very, very good food just round the corner.

The Front desk reception will kindly mail the post card for you - now that's service.

Excellent location and quiet, great Value for money, as opposed to some reviews I found the staff at the reception quite friendly and helpful.

The front desk staff was helpful and our room was larger than we expected upon arrival, considering the typical European hotel room.

When we got there we were met by the receptionist who advised (in Spanish) that we were being moved to a different hotel.

The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

Also, when we were there they were carrying out works in the reception area so you had to watch out for the cables and wires on the floor.

We originally had a room overlooking the courtyard but asked to be moved to a room looking over the square which was not so quiet but fresh air a bonus.
