Medicine Hat Lodge

The rooms were spotless, and I mean spotless, including the toilets and tubs (I check).

Rooms were dated, water stains on roof, mold in bathrooms.

Hot tub, as well as hair around the toilet and the restaurant service was wonderful.

Our first room came supplied with a HUGE spider in the bathroom.

Although the rooms were a good size, and the beds were comfortable; the blank marks with dirt frames told the story of missing pictures.

If breakfast is any indication of what the other meals are like, I highly recommend you eat at one of the many nearby restaurants and not in the hotel.

However, the restaurants and lounge areas are relatively sound proof and you only hear the odd noise from the kids.

The Jungle cafe has a buffet every day at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Food is resonably priced (for a hotel restaurant) and well prepared.

The free hot buffet breakfast for the adults, (children were not free, but a child is anyone under 18 years, so it cost next to nothing for them!

I guess that might rate a few points if you can get past the rude service provided by the front desk manager, the poor maintenance of the rooms and their sheer lack of responsiveness to guest needs.

The staff at the front desk quickly moved us to another room.

Front desk service was prompt and friendly, hot tubs were great as usual.

It's also a spa hotel, with full spa facilities - and I've never seen such a huge pool area with water slides for the children.

While we were there, we also went to the spa.

The weekends can get a little rowdy as it's full of screaming children in the waterslide and pool area.

The wireless internet worked well, the buffet was a disgrace to cheap buffets and check-in was simple.

The rooms were spotless and restaurant staff was very friendly.

I found the rooms to be clean and well kept.

An amazing night at the Medicine Hat Lodge for business purposes and the room appeared to be clean.

Fresh room and buffet breakfast was fine - all in all - a great bargain for $99.
