Me Cancun - 坎昆

The location is situated nicely a block from Isla Mall (shops, restaurants, and markets).

The location is fantastic, the hotels close proximity to La Isla Mall and nearby restaurants gets you out walking every evening which really breaks up the normal monotony of being stuck at your resort.

The hotel is in a great location - close to (walking distance) 3 malls with multiple restaurants available.

Philadelphia and quick taxi ride from the airport.

Finally someone (either the hotel or Olympus tours) paid for our taxi to the airport, but we only arrived there an hour before (and got to the gate 2 minutes before boarding).

They then told us that there was another room available, but it was "two double beds" (they like to keep their king-sized bed rooms) but we stayed firm (in a pleasant way!

We had a double bed room and it had a flat screen tv, rain shower style tub, art etc.

Great rooms, comfortable bed, great bathroom (shower only), very modern lobby.

The rooms have plenty space the bed is very confortable as well the bathroom.

Rooms are wonderfull (bed is the best), bathroom just great.

Food: I can only comment on the Maxim bar/restaurant on the beach, I never ate at the other restaurants.

We tended to eat from the buffet in the morning at the Quetzal Restaurant (included a wonderful smoothie bar, omelets bar and a number of local dishes as well as waffles, potatoes, cold cuts etc.

As for the food, we enjoyed the food at la palapa restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

In the evenings and for breakfast, we ate in the main restaurant – offering buffet only (however, we can also order from the ubiquitous Room Service menu and have it served to you in the Dining Room as a service option!

After a while, I gave up and stuck to stealing bread from breakfast and eating tortilla chips at the beach bar.

From the front desk check in (and out), to help from the concierge, to service at the bars and restaurants, the service was friendly and timely.

Front desk/guest services staff helpful, speaks English.

Music: Love it or hate it, techno/downtempo music is played in the lobby/bar area, elevators, pool, and beach.

Lastly, and the worst part of the trip was the un air-conditioned lobby elevators that were like entering a sauna, and that were extremely slow everytime.

Along with that is a lobby bar, pool bar and a games room.

The business center was large w/ lots of computers (free internet & wireless throughout).

The hotel advertises free wireless internet and this is partially true.

While our room was always clean and spotless at the Melia, our impression was that there was more continual cleaning activity at the Royal Solaris.

The rooms were fabulous, very clean, even shortly after the hurricane.

We had a quick check-in and then found ourselves in a nice, clean and comfortable room upgraded freely to an ocean view.

Housekeeping seemed to go the extra step to keep the room clean.

Also the cleaning personal kept the hotel spotless and the beds i loved and thought they were very comfortable if you have any questions don not hesitate to email me pinktequila3000@hotmail.
