The location was brilliant for shopping, we got upgraded to a junior suite because the hotel was quiet and the staff were always welcoming.

We had three rooms on the sixth floor - comfortable beds, clean rooms, balconies and we even had plush bath robes.
Other tourist attraction in the city and the hotel upgraded me to a suite at no charge so room was much nicer than expected.
The hotel decor is somewhat lacklustre and bathrooms are pretty basic, but rooms have all the usual amenities and are very clean.
Many types and sizes of of rooms, all dated (some furniture was from a hospital - nurse call buttons on the night stands!
The staff were somewhat helpful and the air conditioning worked great in my room.

Try Wallima Wardeh restaurant around the corner for great lebanese home style food - not the kebab and shwarma stuff.
Moreover room were good too, the free bar snacks were a meal by themselves.
