Mayan Sea Garden Mazatlan

We liked this location, but if you want to be in the middle of things, this isn't the resort for you.

We spent the second of our two weeks in the new Mayan Regency building at the same location.

The location of resort is more remote than what we like.

Taxi rides from the airport may be somewhat higher than normal, $58 for me this time, but take into account that it was five of us with 7 suitcases.

Don't let the airport taxi service attendants refer you to the other guys offering to refund your $58 if you accept an offer for a tour of the various resorts.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom, the bed took up most of the one bedroom and the L shaped couch type beds in the other room probably would not have been comfortable for adults.

There were six of us - one king bed in the master bedroom, two twins in the second bedroom, and adequate sofa beds in the living room.

The rooms are about the size of a motel room with a small bedroom off the sitting area with a queen bed.

We had a bedroom with king size bed, two of the kids had a bedroom with twin beds on concrete platforms that could also be used as couches and our son slept on the bed that rolled out from under the couch.

The second bedroom is a problem in some suites, we heard of windowless rooms with rock-like sofa beds.

We ate most breakfasts in our room, sometimes lunch snacks and often went out to restaurants in Mazatlan for the experience.

We ate there some of the time, cooked in the room some of the time, and experienced amazing cuisine in the many fine restaurants in Maz the rest of the time!

We only ate one meal at the hotel and it was not that great, but we did have snacks on the beach that hit the spot perfectly and found that the grocery store on site was great to purchase breakfast food at and make in our kitchenette.

The indoor bar and restaurant were very classy, but also welcoming.

Restaurant only has special meal each evening and again pool bar serves a few things but closes too early.

The staff was fantastic from the front desk to bell hops to the waiters.

EXCELLENT SERVICE from the front desk to the bellhops to the elevator ladies to the cleaning ladies and especially the waiters who made sure your margaritas were served on time while you lounged under the palapas.

Activities are great , staff is wonderful, daily maid service are all pluses.

24-hour room service, pool AND beach service, games room, internet cafe, kids' activities, a small gym.

It's only four stories, no elevator needed, so you can wear off the tortillas, and by the heated pool and the second pool.

Nice view of tall palm trees blocking the view of the pool and vacant dirt parking lot next door.

7) Their internet center had four computers, each with amazingly SSLLLOOOOOOW high-speed access paid for by the hour.

Staff were excellent, quick to respond, rooms were spotless, resort grounds were gorgeous without a leaf out of place, the pools and beach area were clean and beautiful.

The rooms are fine - they stay nice and cool, are clean and comfortable.

The rooms were very very clean, housekeeping servicve was very good as well.

The rooms are clean but not extremely clean.

Sea Garden in a heart beat, clean room, great staff, great drinks, good food and a great beach.
