Maui Seaside Hotel Kahului

I used to live on Maui in Wailuku, and wanted to stay in Kahului, because it would be close to my town and Baldwin school, and a good location to travel around the island, and easy to get to the Airport.

The location was actually pretty good, close to the Mall, airport, start of Hana Road and the Crator.

As for the location, its good, we are in central Maui and very close to everything.

Budget was able to send their mini bus to take us to their collection desk back at the airport the following morning, therefore eliminating the need for another Taxi before collecting our car.

Reasonable taxi fare from the Airport, wouldn't hesitate to use again as a stop gap, but would head somewhere else for a long stay.

The rooms are ok, we had a ground floor with a Patio, last year I had a very big room with two double beds and kitchenette on the third floor.

Our final room was clean and the bed quite comfortable.

Motel 6 Room quality, nice people, if your on a budget this is probably not a bad way to go, but $300 a night can get you a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath condo on the beach.

The bed was a nightmare, room way below average and the whole building was old and not well taken care of.

I admit, It is not a fancy hotel, No FREEBIES in the rooms as shampoo or conditioner, no iron, there is one in the laundry room, the bar has since closed down.

There is a small cocktail lounge and a restaurant, Vi's, that is open for breakfast and dinner (no lunch).

They give you breakfast coupons for their highly overpriced and not particularly good restaurant, again, not worth it.

Also, there are a number of restaurants from fast food to fine dining within a 3 mile radius.

It was very convenient to beable to eat at the hotel rather than having to search for another restaurant.

Anyone who has been to Maui knows that dining out can be expensive, so this breakfast represented a significant savings and provided the energy to keep us going until we dined out in the evening.

Good location for getting around island, the hotel staff was very pleasant and the service was friendly at the front desk.

I have seen a few things that have gone downhill, BUt the staff is great, maid service excellent.

The front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating to our needs.

The on site restaurant was great, ours was just on overnight stay and the front desk staff were excellent.

The pool looked clean, although we never used it.

The pool and grounds are spotless and well manicured.

The pool area was nice and the hotel was clean enough.

But the inside of the room was very clean, however, small.

Bathroom was small but comfortable and clean.

Room was clean, staff was very friendly and accomodating!

For the price, the room was very comfortable and very clean, the staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Prices were reasonable, the staff was wonderful and the room was very clean.
