I think this hotel is excellent value for money.
He did not notify us prior that contacting him outside of the hotel on our own would double the price.
Overall, I feel we had a good deal/price for our stay at this hotel, but I was not raving about it when I returned.
We would definitely stay at MGV again for any trip to Orlando; it was worth the money compared to renting 2 other hotel rooms without a kitchen.
I liked the location of the resort which is nicely situated between Disney and Universal and right down the street from Sea World.
The location is fairly close to the Orlando attractions.
I loved the location of this resort because it was so close to restaurants, stores and Sea World.
The MGV is about a 20 minute drive from the Orlando airport.
The Lynx route 50 will take you to Magic Kingdom where you can take free Disney buses to any park, as well as the airport (route 8 to route 42).
It made our experience home away from home with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, jacuzzi tub, living room (with pull-out queen-sized bed), dining room, bedroom, separate bathroom, and enclosed patio.
Marble countertops in kitchen and both bathrooms, 1 king bed in masterbath with whirlpool, 25 inch flat screen tv with HBO and other cable stations, screened in balcony off of master bath and a patio off of 2nd bedroom.
2 bed 2 bath apartment very spacious, enough room for 8 people comfortably, kitchen fully eqiped with crockery and excellent "white" goods.
We had a two bedroom suite, full kitchen, dining room, living room, two baths, two bedrooms and a screened in patio with table& chairs and plants, really lovely.
The bed was extremly comfortable,huge bathroom with a whirlpool tub in the master suite.
We had breakfast at Nicks where there was a family of four adults eating with their four kids, the kids were screaming and running around the restaurant, into the bar and the kitchen.
We ate lunch at one of the pool bar/restaurants, Copa Loca, and hung around by the pool until our room was ready at 4:00 p.
Full kitchen with washer and dryer and dishwasher, breakfast bar, dining area and living room with a Tv.
If you tire of the amusement park restaurants and atmosphere, we ate at a Japanese restaurant not too far of a drive away called Kobe.
Around the corner less than 1/2 mile away is strip mall with a grocery store, a couple fast-food restaurants, a pizza joint, a Thai restaurant, gas stations, and movie rental store.
The staff was very courteous, cordial, and helpful, from the the front desk employees, concierge, to the housekeepers and maintenance people.
Also, we think given the scale of the property, getting any attention at reception/front desk, concierge, and a timely response to telephone queries from the housekeeping is impossible.
The valet parking is complimentary as is the use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi.
On the good side, housekeeping was very good and responsive, grounds were very nice as were the common areas such as the lobby and the pool.
Game room, including ping pong, pool and an indoor jungle gym.
We brought our laptop from home, and are right this moment using the Grande Vista's free high speed wireless internet.
Wireless Internet Access: MGV offers free wireless Internet access.
The rooms look clean as the building is new.
The hotel is very clean, the staff are very helpful and the rooms were spacious and had everything you would expect from a Marriott hotel.
I found the room to be very clean and very nice.
It was also nice having a washer dryer in the room so we could come back home with all clean clothes!
The suite was clean and service was excellent.
