However, the location, while centrally located, can be very noisy.

The only thing good about this hotel experience was the location, which is across from the beach and near the heart of town.

We wanted a decent room with a balcony overlooking the ocean, and a location near the beach, restaurants, and shopping.

You simply can't beat the location in Cape May, and the balconys, many of which are arranged in a curving building as to maximize your view, are lovely.

The location can't be beat -right in the center of town and across from the beach.

I would highly recommend getting one of the suite rooms and avoiding the Abbey or Victoria rooms as they are too small for my liking, the suites are larger with two separate areas with the kitchenette and bathrooms dividing the room sections.

I had booked a one bedroom suite and they told me they could offer me a room with 2 doulble beds.

The bad news is that the room I was given was not much bigger than the bed.

For only $124 plus taxes per night, I got a beach-front hotel close to the heart of town, a beautiful, comfortable, clean room with white wicker, a king size bed, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, and a private balcony overlooking the beach and sea.

The room was ok-sized ,w/ a frig ,microwave and coffee machine,a pair of wicker sitting chairs,lamps and table ,along w/ the usual king bed and dresser.

The restaurant was very good for breakfast, a lot of choices and everything tasted good, especially the omelettes.

The breakfast is a nice treat and was very good w/ lots of variety and even an omelette bar.

The pool was a good size and we especially loved the poolside bar/restaurant service.

Nice pool bar, the towels that I cleaned up and the buffet breakfast was awesome included everything.

The front desk staff could use some instruction in customer service; some of the most dour folks I've ever encountered and I travel often.

The staff is generally knowledgeable and friendy except a new person at the front desk who had real difficulty splitting the bill for two seperate rooms that was originally placed on a single credit card.

Now that is hospitality and fantastic service on part of the staff and the hotel management.

00 a night you would expect impeccable service, immaculate rooms and a friendly staff.

The best thing about the Marquis is the convenience of staying on the beach with a pool and being walking distance to everything.

If you are looking for a downtown place with convenient parking and easy access to the water, this is fine.

00/night in high season is not going to steal a plastic ashtry or carry the wicker mirror under their arm as they walk through the lobby.

The hotel is renovated clean, staff is superb and the new beds make a big difference.

The suite we stayed in was cozy and clean.

The room was clean for a beach resort (a little sand on the tile floors is always to be expected at the beach), but very small.
