I had an absolutely amazing time at this eco-lodge! The property is located away from road noise, and the spacious cabins offer breathtaking views of the lagoon. The variety of birds, fish, turtles, and even a caiman at the feeder by the restaurant was mind-blowing. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. The beds and linens were super comfortable, and the lack of air conditioning was no issue due to the pleasant nighttime temperatures. The tours offered were fantastic, especially the free forest tour in the afternoon. The tour guides, especially José Louis, were knowledgeable and kind. The adventure of crossing the river in a ferry and the refreshing coconut welcome drink made for a jaw-dropping experience. The well-maintained grounds and gardens attracted an incredible variety of wildlife, and the breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection. the staff's dedication to providing a wonderful experience was evident in every aspect of my stay.

We had an amazing 2 days at Maquenque Ecolodge! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the treehouse accommodations were a real added value. The outdoor shower in our room was a nice surprise, and the property was great to explore on our own. Taking a guided tour allowed us to spot even more wildlife. a fantastic place to be surrounded by nature with super friendly staff. 100% recommend it!

We had an incredible stay at Maquenque Ecolodge! The crossing by boat from the secured parking lot to the island was an adventure in itself. The staff at the front desk were very knowledgeable and helpful, providing us with lots of information about the local ecosystems. The bird feeders in front of the restaurant attracted a wide variety of birds, including toucans and tanagers. The guided night walk, bird tour, and rainforest hike were all amazing experiences. Our bungalow was beautifully decorated and comfortable, and we loved the outdoor shower. The grounds and gardens were well-kept and we saw an abundance of wildlife, including monkeys and reptiles. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy everything Maquenque Ecolodge has to offer.

I had an amazing stay at Maquenque Ecolodge in Boca Tapada. The accommodation was comfortable and the staff were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. The highlight of my trip was exploring the beautiful grounds and following the trails, where I encountered superb wildlife. The tours, including the rainforest walk, bird watching, and boat trip, were top notch and the staff were very knowledgeable about the rainforest and its species. Despite the slightly treacherous road, the experience with nature at Maquenque was truly fantastic. A highly recommended destination.

Our stay at Maquenque Ecolodge was an incredible experience, filled with adventure and environmental awareness. We were impressed by their commitment to saving water and energy, as well as responsible waste management. They didn't just preach about it, but actually encouraged guests to participate by recycling and turning off taps and lights. Not only did we have fun, but we also learned about the importance of sustainable farming and coffee production in Costa Rica. It was eye-opening to see how even small towns in rural areas play a significant role in the country's culture and economy.

If there was one thing we'd ask for, it would be more options for young party-goers to have fun. While Maquenque Ecolodge is the perfect place for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat, we felt that there could be more activities or events catered specifically to young people who enjoy a lively and vibrant atmosphere.

The wildlife sightings were abundant with 65 bird species, monkeys, and reptiles. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and offered guided activities. The gardens, pool, and trails were well-maintained. The bungalow was stylish and comfortable. The boat crossing added to the adventure.

Personally, I found the treehouses a bit challenging to climb up to. However, I understand that some adventurous guests may enjoy that unique experience of living at treetop level in the middle of the jungle.
