Mansion View Inn Springfield - 斯普林菲尔德

The water pressure in the shower was not too good, tub stopper didn't work and the lighting in the bathroom was dim.

The bed was unbelievably comfortable and, OH the pillows!

2 room suite and it definately showed a LOT of WEAR and TEAR.

The bed was lumpy - and very obviously so - the couches and chairs were stiff as a board and were definitly showing their age.

We observed many rooms on the second and third floor that were unoccupied but we were never offered the opportunity to move to a room on a lower floor.

The breakfast has so much to choose from and was very impressive.

This inn is just a few blocks from all the downtown attractions and several great restaurants.

The breakfast was very good and we plan on staying there again.

Modern bedding, several great restaurants.

The free breakfast was juice (one container for the group), cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, etc.

The front desk staff greated us with a warm welcome!

Much better than most hotels and service was wonderful.

From the time we made the reservations to the time we pulled out of the parking lot, if there was any possibility of a problem, the Mansionview staff didn't pass up an opportunity to disappoint.

But you arrive, and at first you feel good - the lobby is quite lovely and the staff up front well dressed - but then you are given your key and the second you enter the elevator (given you aren't on the first floor) you know something isn't right.

There's no pool, but the inn has an arrangement with a YMCA about a block away (so you can swim at the YMCA for free if they have open swim hours).

I swear, it is the most fowl smelling elevator of all time - the carpet has probably been exposed to the elements for at least 10 years.

Not just no wireless, but no internet access of any kind.

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good.

Also the rooms were clean, the free breakfast was juice.

Room was clean and the reservation was all handled perfectly.

Although it looked clean, I found a couple of beetles in the bathroom.

They did seem to clean the room as best they could.
